If I was in charge of Marvel...

I would fire Bendis and bring in some people from DC.
Get rid of one or two spider-man books.

Fire Bendis and then watch him walk right over to DC. That's not really a smart business move. And, once again, why a lot of people...if this weren't a fantasy thread...would run Marvel right into the ground.

If you really didn't like Bendis, call him into your office, tell him you don't like his writing and that you're going to put him on books that you think suits him.

Getting rid of the guy would probably be the first dumb move in a long line of dumb moves.

Then you'd have everyone on message boards calling you a "fat ******" like they do to Quesada, simply because you fired one writer.

Believe it or not Bendis has more fans than he does haters. :o

if I was in charge... the company would fold SO fast...

by the way, why do people always think that getting rid of a spider book or an X-title is a good idea? just asking.

If I was in charge of Marvel, I'd sell Spider-Man to DC under the agreement that they would have him join the JLA.

ugh, I forget the exact math equation for it, Brian Hibbs laid it out in his book Tilting At Windmills. Basicly it has to do with supply and demand and stretching resources and fan interest. If you start a second ongoing title for a character, you'll never double your sales because the second title won't sell as well as the original. But, you WILL have doubled your production costs since both titles will cost the same to produce. Create a third and fourth title, and the resources get stretched even thinner.

plus there's also the stuff about confusing new readers and what not. Not to mention this whole era is going to be a pain in the ass for collectors of the future. You'll have to take a college level course just to be able to grade comics and tell what series are from what relaunch from what year and what the varient covers are and yadda yadda yadda`

WOW umm..
I don't think the JLA would want spidey when they have members that could pwn him with two words.

Nam-Redips pots.
well three words if you count the dash

That wouldn't work on Superman, eh?
Yes it would.
Zatanna is the most powerful member of the League actually.

So why does the JLA want Superman when they have members that could pwn him with two words?

She'd have to talk way faster than his webbing could close her mouth.

Zatanna's mortal weakness? Not being able to talk. Spider-Man? He's good at shutting mouths.
