If Magneto can move the GGB by himself, why does he nead Phoenix?

In Janssen's interview over at MTV Overdrive she states that Jean is with the Brotherhood, not necessarily because she wants to be with them (or that she was persuaded to be with them), but that she really has no other place to go--and is just there . . . which is why you see her always standing off to the side, rather than side-by-side with Magneto. She is simpy there because she is confused and really feels she has no other place to go--not because Magneto is specifically using her for anything.
That's basically what I said in post #12. :p Don't mind me.

i mean iif god so powerful why does he needs angels lol? Why does mags need any of them, the point is Magneto has limits, and Jean almost does not. Its been happening before we were born in comics, why does Apocalyapse need the 4 horsemen? Why does supervilians need henchmen?

lol......

yes i agree magneto is a god!...

and can someone explain to me why he hasnt killed wolverine yet?

Magneto can only control metal. Jean can control EVERYTHING. She's basically Magneto, but ten times stronger, I'm guessing.

He feels comfortable, knowing that someone as powerful as Phoenix is standing by his side.

Magneto doesnt want to kill the X-Men. If needed, he WILL harm them extremely, but he wont kill them. Deep down he still loves Xavier as a friend and doesnt want to destroy what he has built. Thats why Magneto's plots are never to kill the good guys, they are always against the prejudiced humans.

Magneto doesn't get revived if he dies. It's nice having someone semi-invulnerable on your side.

I do think the scene where she
threatens him with needles is stupid though. He could simply bend the needles out of shape. I doubt he would acquire darts that he can't control (aka completely plastic). That would be pointless.

Ok. Do you all remember from X2 when Magneto creates those metalic spheres out of the particles of metal from Laurios blood? Jean could do that, only with EVERYTHING. She could separate the particles of lets say for example a.... wooden chair. She could take the particles from that chair and form some sort of tiny sharp things and cut people to shreds.

She would bend them back into shape.

Nice. Everyone repeats what I say and makes them more insightful.

Then maybe you should say it with some intelligence in the first place. I love how modest you are.

Regardless of Jean's motivations, I see the thread maker's point. If Magneto is so powerful, why even bother with Jean? Why even bother with anyone else for that matter, since he seems so easily capable of solving matters on his own (he certainly has the power to do it). Even though Magneto is powerful enough on his own, he is still power-hungry, and although it may be risky, why not go the extra mile and harbor the most powerful mutant in the world among your Brotherhood?

I agree. He may be powerful, but Jean is more powerful than him. If he didn't try and bring her with him to the brotherhood, there's a big chance that she'd end up being against him, and he wouldn't want that.

Yeah totally, this gets to the core of the issue... but there's still something missing... the whole thing is on some seriously shaky ground really... I think the only thing that will keep people from questioning the relationship too much is the sheer spectacle it will prove to be...

something still just bothers me about it

so what?

He needs Jean because, A, he doesn't want to have to oppose her, and B, he needs her in case he has to deal with a possible X-Men scenario. And C, he's powerful, but he's not perfect. Jean can help watch his back, so to speak. That, and I'm sure he feels it's fitting to have the next step in mutant evolution destroy the cure, the clinic, etc.

Well
I think Jean not only moves the needles after him but also holds them strongly in place. Magneto tried to move the needles away but Jean overpowered him. That would be the only way Magneto would lose his cool like that in front of people.
That's what I think.

Magneto is strong, but Phoenix would probably put him to shame so He needs Phoenix on his side and not on the x-men

Phoenix is lookin hot

BIASED SOURCE.....

But there is no way I can disagree.

Well first of all the 'Next Stage in Evolution' clip is a dead giveaway as to why Magneto needs Jean! He says that he can only manipulate metal(ie. his power has limits) while he tells Jean her power is unlimited! He can do alot on his own but he can do hell of alot more with Jean by his side!
