The Dark Knight If Nolan left....who would you want as a replacement?

EXACTLY! Someone who finally agrees. I take it you have seen SupermanReturns?
Ya I saw Superman Returns :(
I loved it as a movie superman movie but not as a comic book Superman movie. And since I was expecting a movie Superman movie I wasnt too disapointed. Though those shards they pulled out of him in the hospitol still pissed my "continuity-bug up the ass" off to no end. But what can we do, Singer was given the green light all the way so hopefully the backlash will knock him off his psuedo artistic superhero horse a bit.
I can forgive him because I liked X1 and 2. He is inredible at one of the things I love about comic books the most. He brings to life those pictures that just make you think "that is so Wolverine!" or whomever is in the scene.

Cronenberg didn't know History of Violence was a graphic novel when he signed onto the project.
Like I said, normally. And do you really consider A History of Violence in the same comic book category as Spider-Man and Batman? Theres a huge difference between a director being a fan because they grew up on the material and becoming a fan after reading something that was published a few years ago.

If Nolan left I'm really not sure who I'd want to take over but I have always wondered what Spielberg would do with Batman.
Gawds that would be cool to see thats for sure :D

Tarintino did say he'd never ever ever do a superhero film b/c of the fanboys.

I'd be interested to see what Michael Mann would do with Batman.

I consider History of Violence to be what all comic book movies should strive for.

I'd like Tarantino as the director (I know it's probably been said already) 'TDK', but please, for god's sake, let someone else write the script and develop the screenplay. :csad:

That'd be a good idea.

A History of Violence did have lots of freedom too. I mean, a Superman movie or even a Batman movie would get MURDERED for having that level of violence and sex. But still....it was ****ing awesome.

V For Vendetta, by the way as great too. Loved that film.

Hmmm.....both rated R......think there might be something to that....?

Tarantino's style is too predictable and he's like a kid on a toy store at times. Spielberg would be alright because he's a great visionary but he really hires the best tech advisers and brainers around him aiding him to do the best work in most cases.
