Green hair, white face, red lipstick... If it's different, will you be upset? :joker:

Of course (well, I wouldn't mind black lipstick).

Yes. The purple suit I don't mind as much. But the green hair, white skin and red lips DEFINE the Joker. It's how the ENTIRE WORLD recognizes him. If anything, I'd say liberties can be taken with the lips - maybe make them dark blood red or black. But the green hair and white face MUST stay!

Agreed. The white skin and dark green hair is required. However, I'm open to dark red lips, black lips, or even dark purple lips.

^Yeah, purple lips would give him that sort of "Un-dead" look.

As long Mr. J has his green hair and white skin I really don't care. Nolan knows though that you can give scarecrow a multitude of different masks but in the end the Joker has distinguishing features that can not be changed up and replaced. There is not too much that can be taken away from the Joker without making him unrecognizable to fans.

a little... that look gives him that scary feel to him, and it wont have the same effect if it's changed IMO.

Some updated/revisioned version of Joker's look is what we'll get most likely so I'm expecting something a bit different.

Yes, unless it's dark red lipstick.

the lips should be bleeding sometimes which accounts for them being red.the chemicals should really mess him up not just minor nerve damage and pale skin and so on.Id also like to see him in a stright jacket suit as well as a purple/purple strips or toned suit.if all goes well and we dont get bright red lips then so be it.

Is it just me, or is everyone waiting for the day that the main page of SHH says:

FINALLY! PICTURES OF HEATH LEDGER AS THE JOKER!

His appearance is important because it defines the dichotomy of his nature. What makes the clown scary, as so many others have pointed out, is that the smiling face is really just a mask, and anything can be hiding behind it; lose that, and you lose what makes the character so interesting.

as long as he doesnt look like some people's avatar's.

until now i liked 99% changes that nolan made. i really like almost everything. it is one of the best movies. in nolan i trust. i trust that nolan will make that kind of joker that will fit in nolans gotham. i belive that he will make that kind of joker that comic fans and general people will like. i belive that nolan will make that kind of joker that will be funny, sadistic and not campy.

i am also aware that there is really a small chance that this joker will be like in the comics. but if he fits in BB's world i will be happy with the look.

If the Joker looks like this - I'll be happy.

I don't want all-green hair for the Joker, but rather more like TAS where he has black hair with strands of green.

A little. It really going to depend on how different from the classic looke he differs.

Nolan got rid of Scarecrow Hat and straw suit and only had his mask and I think it worked fine in 'Begins'.

So if he tone down the Joker pale skin look (make it not so "absolute" white like Nocholson in Batman '89) maybe have dark green hair insead of bright green, and not so much bright red lipstick, then I'm okay with it.

Classic looks, just not so pronounced. I loved this manip of Heath Ledger from the moment I saw it and if Nolan goes this direction then I'm cool with it.

It's kind of look like 'the Crow' but I still think it works.

I understand what Nolan going with these Batman movies in the realsim but he sshouldn't alter everything so much that the character isn't recognizable on screen.

Well, Scarecrow was different looking, but I wasn't pissed. Took me half way throught the movie to realize it was the scarecrow, but I still liked the costume. As long as Jokers concept is the same and he acts crazy, I don't really care what he looks like.
