I hope it doesn't play like this. I liked how Punk dealt with Taker when they first feuded. He didn't run from Taker, he didn't believe in his spooky theatrics. Having Punk would run counter to how his character has been. He didn't back down to Cena or Rock, and he shouldn't back down to Taker no matter what.

I hope it plays out closer to how you describe but in the end it will all close out the same way, Punk looking at the lights.

I will say this: up until the last few years, Taker really did fit that description: Of an aging wrestler who when the bell rang, you never knew time was catching up with him. Whatever injuries or aches he had, they didn't affect his performance. But since post Wrestlemania 25, he hasn't been the same and it's been getting tougher to cover up his limitations.

Agreed, if he had walked away at Mania 26 along with HBK both could say they ended it while still being at the top of their game, not a step lost. The last couple of Mania's have seen matches padded out with methodically paced spots and weapon shots.

He's insecure. A mark in some ways thats way worse than anything he called Bret Hart.

The only difference between HHH and Hogan as far as how they operated is HHH never drew enough money to act like as big a b**** as he is. At least Hogan could use the excuse of being the golden goose of his era. Beak Nose Levesque just layed a f***ing rotten egg when he was the top guy.

Bret and Triple H are both marks for themselves, only difference being that Bret never had the power to pull this ego **** he's pulling here.

Hogan at least earned his delusion.

HHH looks odd with the Bobby Roode doo. A style change was in order so he didn't look like a retro act but I think he cut it too short. Guess I'm not used to it (like with Edge).
