1.) Valid point, but we've already had this match at a Money In The Bank, SummerSlam, and one other PPV if I recall correctly, plus probably a few Raw's, and Punk has emerged victorious everytime. Now, on Monday Night, Cena is unfortunately going to get the win, they'll both have had their wins over each other, the WWE Championship has already been involved. What more can be done to make this feud bigger than it already has been?
And let's be honest, the best part of this entire feud was CM Punk winning the title and walking out of Chicago, and the company, with the title.
The feud with Cena is nothing new, and I just kind of feel like Wrestlemania should be a bigger main event than something that we've already seen numerous times on lesser PPV's. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the simple face is that CM Punk should be the one facing The Rock at Wrestlemania, and if The Rock is gonna lose to anyone (and he's gotta drop the belt eventually) it needs to be to Punk. As you know, I'm not normally a fan of "the rub", but in this instance, a win over The Rock is not going to get John Cena over anymore than he already is, and will probably only make him more hated by men over the age of 11. He's already as over as he's going to be, so unless they are going to do a drastic shift in his character (which I would bet money against it happening), winning the belt from The Rock won't amount to anything. It won't "make" him, he's already made. It won't "endear" him to the crowd, the people who already hate him will only hate him even more because of it. It's not going to make those people come around. But in this case, I find an exception to the rule that I typically believe, in that all around, from an entertainment and from a business standpoint, The Rock v. CM Punk is the better way to go. CM Punk as a character has more to gain from beating The Rock, and the feud between the 2 guys is already better than The Rock v. Cena feud last year. And that's simply because CM Punk is a better character than John Cena.
2.) Yea, I get that, and I hate that, because Jericho should be holding a title, not jobbing to everyone in the company, but if he does have to job out and put someone over, it should be someone good, like Dolph Ziggler, not Ryback. Ziggler has earned the right to be put over, and it needs to happen. Ryback... he has an entertainment value about him, sure, but he shouldn't be getting wins over an all time great like that.
