Sequels If they used The Green Goblin in the sequels, he should look like this....

I agree! But not so much with a Norman mask.

I've said it before, but a cross between Ultimate and 616 is what I'd like. A formula that doesn't make him hulk like, but similar to Captain America/Red Skull's transformation.
Not overdone body wise, but have his skin discolour and his features warp to look just a little extra bit creepy! With that, tie in the medieval stuff and have him portray the goblin role. :)

Of course, have the transformation be controllable by Norman (vials of goblin serum maybe?) so we can have the duality factor in too.

Yes! That's exactly what this series needs to differentiate it from Raimi's Goblin. But make the design as close to 616 goblin as possible. It really could be that way if Goblin is linked to the Lizard by being reptillian in a way, but maybe a different reptile that gives him the Goblin appearance. And he refines the transformation process so that he keeps control unlike Connors. The thing is Peter acquires the abilities of a Spider while still retaining human form. Norman might want this sort of transformation with Lizard-like abilities substituted but ultimately fails, creating his goblin form. And can't understand what was so special about Spiderman's transformation. Maybe he finds a way to morph back and forth whenever he wants taking him onestep beyond Connors and closer to Spiderman if you get what I'm saying. In short, I think all three origins are related, and that could possibly bring in Man-Spider later on.

I don't like the idea of Osborn turning into a Goblin looking creature, especially when the first movie's villain is a scientist who turns into a green monster.

I don't either. Not a fan of Hulk Goblin.

I wouldn't mind a combination of the two. Transformation with the use of armor, weapons and glider. He should keep his normal size, get muscular and cut, but his appearance would change into the hideous Goblin.

I'd love to see him look similar to this.

I think it'd be cool if Proto-Goblin was like Ultimate, and Norman eventually became a 616 like Goblin with ties to the criminal underworld.

I honestly wouldn't mind if they tore a page out of the Red Skull book and had his face deform into a goblin like look and have him construct a Norman mask for when he's out and about.

If I remember correctly this is how Norman was in Spider-man Noir. He was a crimeboss nicknamed "The Goblin" and circus freaks were his "army".Vulture, Kraven etc. At the end Spider-man beat him up and revealed that his Norman face was just a mask hiding his Goblin face. He was a circus freak too.

I hate how the goblin eyes in that pretty much serve as goggles. Looks too much like guy under a mask.

To be honest, almost reminds me of some Giger stuff.

indeed. hehe i have a guitar by him lol love his art. ohhh now to see his version of GG WOULD be interesting.

The only thing i say is though with regards to that image, it was concept art for the first film so they might not want to go with it, then again theres nothing to stop them from using it. I wouldn't mind if they did a Marvel Knights style Goblin actually, but then it might look to similar to first one.

Classic look FTW. Though I'm not sure how they could translate it to the movies without looking like a cheap Halloween costume.

No thank you to the classic Green Goblin look. It makes Green Goblin look like a gay elf carrying a purse. Not threatening in any way, and I don't buy that Norman Osborn would wear it.

Quick edit in Photoshop on the Raimi Goblin. Looks silly to me, lol.

I think this picture captures the spirit of the Green Goblin quite well.

Something like that would be really, really great to me. It would be much more creepier to see that his face is really like that.

I know people were saying they didn't like that idea of his face being the Goblin, due to The Lizard transforming as well, but I am hoping he appears in the 3rd movie. Then I hope for a 4th one.

The look of Ultimate Goblin would be my choice. I think the mutation should overtake him so much that Norman dies from the massive changes to his body.

There is no doubt that the costume is the way to go. This would be perfect:

umm why,

1. its a idea that misses the point of the character
2. it would be simply repeating what this movie has done
3. its completely moronic and reduces the character to nothing more than a hulk/entrigan combo

No, that's not scary at all. He looks like an emerald elf.

I think I might like that one.

Eh, I think we're more likely to get a tech Goblin similar to what DACMAN posted.
