I didn't make that. lol
What did you do apart from make the hood cover his forehead and make his eyes... yellow-er?![]()
Thing is, kids DO enjoy menacing looks and serious films. The Dark Knight is extremely popular among people in any age. So I hope Green Goblin will look truly menacing this time.
I don't want him to look like the Hulk-Goblin. I don't think that's the best route to go.
Yeah, it's a terrible route, IMO. It takes away from who the character is.I don't want him to look like the Hulk-Goblin. I don't think that's the best route to go.

Very true.Agreed. Some of the best Spider-Man/Green Goblin moments are actually Peter Parker/Norman Osborn moments.
Very true.
Yeah, Ultimate Goblin=no for me.
Keep it simple, a guy in a costume can still be scary and intimidating (Joker). The personal dynamic between spidey and goblin can still exist then. Rather than having Peter fighting some huge green monster, or even just a mutated green man, have him fight Norman Osborn in a ghoulish and scary costume. I feel like something like Osborn wore in Return of the Goblin (Peter Parker, Spider-Man) would work out very well for the movies. I don't know though, that's just my opinion.
Agreed. Moments like this:

Can't happen with a metamorphosing Green Goblin.
Very true. By the way, that's one of my fall time favorite JRJR issues. Not the story entirely, but the art.Agreed. Moments like this:

Another thing is... if Marc chooses to do the death of Gwen Stacy (which he will!)... I'd rather see that happen at the hands of, well, a Green Goblin that looks more like the 616 one, rather than some hulking green monster. :\
Yup, moments like that is just what I was talking about. Quick Question, is that pic from New Ways to Die?
But ultimately the human connection that I personally think Raimi did a great job of capturing would be lost. I really enjoy the Father vs. Son dynamic of both Spider-Man (movie) and the comics.

Agree,
Monster kills girlfriend, oh no, but hey, he can't control himself/he's insane and is driven by animal instincts.
Man kills girlfriend, intricate story of hatred, pain, and wanting revenge. A man can do much more intricate emotional damage to the hero than a raging monster who seems like he's taken to much cocaine.
I am not sure, I found it on a site called Spidey Kicks Butt!, in the article Legacy of the Green Goblin in the Green with Evil series about Norman Osborn on the table of contents.
I completely agree. Harry Osborn is the lynchpin to their relationship, because without Harry's friendship with Peter, then Norman Osborn is just some rich guy to Peter Parker, and Norman Osborn wouldn't know who Peter Parker is.
