i think MJ and peter should look similar to this...

ive always thought peter has a younger look to his face then what age he really was... i think thats important. he also usually has bangs that are a little messy in the front and sometimes stick up or curl down... in the movies tobey usually has his hair come'd back... for some reason there still making him look like a geek

Thankfully, they did not go for this look for Peter. Tobey was casted to portray an image of Peter that was around in the 60's. Combed back hair, goofy and quit. The Peter that developed in the 70's and on would have never been mistaken for a nerd or bookworm. Maybe a football athlete or most-popular guy in school. But that's not where they wanted to go with Peter.

If, by some hideous plot, they do replace Kirsten. The only actress in the lime-light I would say should be given the role is Milla Jovovich. She exhibits an air of strength, sophistication, ADULThood, and beauty. She was a REAL model (like MJ) a REAL actress (like MJ aspired to be) and is of legal drinking age (unlike another hopeful) LOL

But, once again, I don't like changes in a cast when dealing with major characters. Bad news all around.

I have to agree with Spideyboy here. Although, I'm a fan of Kirsten Dunst - I must admit she looks NOTHING like MJ from any era. Period. Would I have casted her as MJ in the beginning? No. (It would have been a tough decission for me to brush her off) But, I don't believe it is good to change actors/actress in the middle of a three-movie+ series. Bad for business and bad for the audience.

well in spidey 2 he looked goofier... and as soon as peter was bitten by the spider it brought him confidence... and the confidence showed in the way he looked... his apperance got better... of course he's going to look like an athelete.. his body is now shaped as a gymnast and toned... its about time he actually starts looking like hes a quote on quote "stud" rather then a nerdy bookworm. Because he has not looked like one since the 60's....

After reading your last comment about Peter, I'd have to agree - the spider bite and the fact he was now more than just a nerd altered his appearance. Thus, you get how John Romita drew him in the 70's (very much like the pic you like). I'll give you that. LOL.
But, now as we go back and forth over this Lohan issue, I'm thinking. Hell, by the fourth Spiderman movie they won't even use an MJ as a love interest. They'll probably break them up in Spidey 3 as an ending anticlimax (like in the first movie) leaving room for a new and more exciting love interest in the fourth - The Black Cat.

ummm spider-man 3 isnt coming out until 2007, not this fall.....plus they might have a good time difference between 3 and 4 so moviegoers wont be as used to the original cast

I dont want a Freddie Prince Jr Peter Parker. That's what the 70's and so forth look like, Freddie Prince Jr. Lets keep Parker as a normal looking guy like Tobey and Topher. If you guys want a Parker who looks like the 70's and so forth I think you wouldve been happy if they did pick Freddie Prince Jr for Spider-Man. I dont want Mary Jane to look like a freakin Global Pop Star. And Parker is suppose to be the everyman, the guy that looks like you or me. I loved how they made Parker look like a complete dork in the Ultimate comics and in the silver age. Because that's how most normal people look like from time to time. They're normal looking people. Not everyone you see on the streets looks like a movie star. It's so Hollywood to think like that. That's why I love Raimi's Spider-Man movies they all have either natural beauties or just plain normal looking people. Kirsten is alright, she isnt all that, it's just she doesnt come off as Mary Jane or the type of person you could fall in love with.

Peter shouldnt look like a geek or a nerd... he hasnt since the 60's i would never want freddy prinze jr either... tobey was a perfect cast... but its the way they are making him still LOOK like a nerd that is irritating... peter is a handsome looking everyday guy who has strong morals and beliefs, who is also a geek and nerd at heart... hes introverted. Mary Jane also has been portrayed wrong because she simply is NOT the everyday girl. She is a SUPERMODEL, when you look at MJ your supose to say WOW and your jaw drop. And Kirsten doesnt do that. Tobey can be good looking (refer to pic a few things up from the entertainment weekly magazine. But he is turned into a nerd for the movies. Peter shouldnt be nerd like any more.. hell he wasnt even nerd like at the end of spider-man one... i dont understand why make him one yet again for spidey 2?

I have to agree with Spidey again, the photos posted below of Lohan are very attractive. She is much more prettier than Dunst and although I've had worse than Lohan I've also had better. She's not "Oh my gosh! She's soooooo hot!". But, here's my current position (Spidey you have influenced me greatly on this) - Had, Lohan been a few years older and then been cast for the first Spiderman, she would have turned out to be a good MJ. Now, I don't like cast changes during a movie series. So, I would get rid of MJ before replacing Dunst.
