Not only that, but just the details about Raimi's Venom I hated, such as the raised webbing and the fangs in Eddie's teeth...how the hell did he get those teeth? They should be on the symbiote, imo. I hated those two ideas the most, even before we talk about Venom's size, his screech, etc.

And...as Eddie Brock? Please...he was more of a cocky guy, even as Venom, than a threat. He should be a threat as Eddie and also, of course, as Venom, imo.

I don't know. They certainly didn't stick to the comics by casting such a small dude.

I think he did well as Eddie Brock, but I didn't care for seeing his face as Venom. There was really no reason for it at all, and detracted from Venom's menace.

I liked the sharp teeth being in Eddie Brock's mouth, because that's how they have generally been in my favorite Venom designs.

Thus, I've always imagined Eddie Brock's teeth sharpening during the transformation. The sharpened yellow nails bothered me more than the teeth did.

I agree about the raised webbing, though. It was superfluous, detracted from the design's sleekness.

I had an interesting idea for a subtle detail of the Venom design:
How about if, in lieu of sharpened finger nails (a la the SM3 version and many other designs), Venom had claws more like those of a predatory animal, such as a bear, wolf, et cetera?

Imagine Venom's claws being actually attached to his distal phalanges (finger tips), like this bear paw:

From the outside, his hand would resemble this, minus the Wolfman hair and such:

I think that it really could enhance the overpowering, predatory aspect of the character nicely as it evokes the primal image of a bear.

What do you think?
