I'm a victim of police brutality. =/

If you actually need to be told not to be a little prick to cops then you're an idiot.

Irony here in that you are infering that there are situations where it's "ok" to be a lil prick,...............

You can be a prick to whoever you want, but if you do it to a cop an expect it to be okay, then clearly have some kind of cognitive disability.

Come on. Have you read this stuff? He isn't quite at Ghostrider's level (then again he is the best at this), but still you should know better. It's all performance humor. But on the other hand its people like you that make this entertaining. So, please, keep buying into it.

(Reading "Jerry" completly missing the point to hold to his position that WE who respond with less than open distaste are in some way simple because we give the kind of advice we would want to hear if we were having this issue.)

Geez Jerry,.. I know people like "iceman" who only need attention to stop destroying themselves. If he's playing your "performance humor" Who is the more pathetic here,.. the person who needs to fabricate stuff for kicks or the person who answers honestly.
(Grumble - no wonder stuff is ****ed up in todays world,... cynicism is at it's highest with folk putting more stock in jerking folk around than helping.)

Yup, thats life. Or at least an internet message board, which I guess substitutes life for some people that take it seriously. For others its just entertainment.

Over the years I keep hearing the same primary excuse for poor behavior online:

"I'm just here for "entertainment"
closely followed by:
"What's the big deal,... It's only a messageboard - NOBODY takes it seriously."

Both almost always stated by someone outted on behavior on a par with pond scum.

No heat,... I've just never been one to change my behavior simply because of the medium I'm communicating in. Nothing I say here is different from what I would say in person, I don't go online or on a messageboard "simply for entertainment".

Because I can think of better ways to have fun - besides heckling, belittling, or "Performance humor" from the safety of my keyboard.

I'm not the one making up stories, but this **** is funny watching the reactions to it.

Ring up another victim of this thread. Mercy!

One thing I know is that you MUST always do as a cop tells you. Otherwise you can get a beating, if not shot for resisting/disobeying an officer. He probably has a good reason for doing what he's doing. You got off easy. I knew a kid (straight A student) who refused to drop his backpack when instructed to do so by cops (he was afraid he'd break a mini-telescope he was carrying in his pack). As a result, the cops beat him unconscious. He was in the hospital for days on end, simply because he was a smart ass and thought he could disobey a cop. When his parents went forward to investigate the matter, the cops had already made up a bogus story that completely covered their ass (the boy wasn't even charged with anything!). He has a broken nose & jaw to remind him, everyday, of what happened on that unfaithful afternoon. Be thankful that wasn't you.

to me, this doesn't say "be nice and obey cops" it says "get them before they get you"

I love how everyone's telling this guy to grow up. Since when is it a crime to ask why you're being arrested? Oooooh he looked suspicious. It's a scary world and everyone is suspicious to me. This sounds like a classic case of cops being bored so they look for a reason to arrest someone. Maybe this guy's made stupid posts in the past but that doesn't mean he can't be right on this.

I remember once when I was a kid my dad got pulled over and the cops asked him to step out of the car. Dad asked ''Could you first tell me what I did?'' They said that he drove through a red light. Dad gets out the car and they check his (clean) record and let him off with a warning and everyone went home happy.

What the hell is so hard about that?

I'm sick of the little choir boys on this board who act like someone is Satan for standing up to authority. Remember that time someone on here was complaining because their mom wouldn't let them wear tank tops? This girl was 18 years old and her mom wouldn't let her wear tank tops. Jesus. Then you all jumped on her case saying that she has to respect her parents wishes as long as she's in their house. Now I'm all for not sticking muddy shoes up on the coffee table but can't you nerds see when people are going too far? You all tell people they're morons when they say they don't call the cops and take the law into their own hands but you all idolize superheroes like Batman and Spiderman who do the same things everyday. And then you hit me with ''that's just fiction, bro.'', yet you're all crying like little b*tches because you thought it was a moral crime when Batman didn't save Henri Ducard.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe your parents were slightly too strict and put the wrong ideas in your head?

Just a thought

*waits for all the nerds to give me the rolleyes smiley and call me a *******

Meh.

I don't know many "nerds" who would call you a ******,... But I do know a lot who would roll their eyes @ your spin on obeying authority.

Nuff said.
(Because your mind is made up / you want an argument.)

Yes your dad was polite about it, Which you should be. But from what we know Ice-man was being a dick from the get-go and got what he deserved.
"so driver gets out, passenger gets out, me on the pther hand demand to know what the problem is and i refused to get out of the car."
This is instant dick behavior, no **** the cops had to go from polite mode to alert mode.
If you treat a cop with respect then everything will go smoothly.

So, your argument is that its hypocritical to like/'idolize' a character if you don't act exactly like him or her? Or to have involved discussions about fiction without believing/acting them out in reality?

I don't understand how being able to keep reality and fiction sufficiently separated is a bad thing? I need to work harder on my schizophrenia, apparently.

And way to strengthen your argument by calling everyone nerds repeatedly. It adds that little something.

Exactly, an adult can sitting in his car politely asking would he did wrong, will get more respect than a teenager lying in the back seat simply refusing to get out of the car.

Seriously... Is that all you think cops do? When I have (rare) downtime, I pass out football cards to kids. My goal is to keep people out of handcuffs.

1. He wasnt arrested.

2. The last thing a cop wants to do is arrest somebody, too much paperwork.

3. ...um, I guess thats it.

You're just stupid.

Less than an hour ago, we passed by a DT and my friend happened to be on the phone, so we of course know there following us, we pull over than they pull behind us, they start yelling and saying what are we doing in this area and we look too "suspicious" so driver gets out, passenger gets out, me on the pther hand demand to know what the problem is and i refused to get out of the car.

wrong choice, i got my neck pulled and shirt torn and ripped out of the car, and i called the cop a dick, for ripping my shirt.

wrong again, he throws me up against the car and yells, PUT YOUR HANDS ON THE HOOD. i refused again and he went all crazy on me, i told him to stop being a *****e bag, he and his partner knocked me on my ass and i hit my elbow and head on the ground, i got cuffed.

but he let me go cuz he stopped being a dick long enough for me to explain my actions.

he and his partner were actually surprised by my decision to resist arrest, they made fun of me for it and called me stupid to my friends.

I HATE COPS.

than he tried to be all friendly with me, he can go choke to death on a turkey bone tom.

Sounds like you were a disrespectful ass and got the beating you asked for.

When an office of the law issues you and order you follow it with yes sir and no sir… end of story.

If from point of view you think he is being a “jerk” for being harsh with you too bad. He is the one who has to worry about being shot on the job and do everything possible to be in complete control of any situation to ensure he goes home to his family after his shift.

If you learned to listen the next time an officer tells you to do something then the treatment you received is worth it and probably something your parents should have done a long time ago.

Consider it “public education.”

This thread needs to be Tivo'd. This is seriously a contender for "Thread of the Year.''

just do what the cop says, if they are getting after you for something that envoles you paying then maybe you can fight back and say Why? or How come? never just get PO and go off on them because that will just get you in more trouble.
