Can someone do me a favor and post pics of "sex symbol" Wolverine in the comics so we can compare them to the ones that are already posted in the thread please?
Internet Movie Database says that Hugh Jackman stands 6'2 1/2" in height, or 1.89 meters. Wolverine in the comics was originally 5'3". So Jackman's like roughly a foot taller than Wolverine; hell he's more in line with Cyclops comic book size than James Marsden is (heard they had to put Marsden on boxes and put lifts in his boots).Mad Bull said:Agreed. How tall is Jackman, anyway? I don't think "runt" would be an appropriately insulting nickname for movie Wolverine.
Geez. Don't get me wrong, I liked Jackman as Wolverine, but they could only have chosen him to pretty up the character. He wasn't feral, vicious, gruff, or even short! Oh well...Dr. Fate said:Internet Movie Database says that Hugh Jackman stands 6'2 1/2" in height, or 1.89 meters. Wolverine in the comics was originally 5'3". These things happen. It's almost like the reverse of the Michael Keaton as Batman casting.Mad Bull said:Geez. Don't get me wrong, I liked Jackman as Wolverine, but they could only have chosen him to pretty up the character. He wasn't feral, vicious, gruff, or even short! Oh well...
Lol, quite so. I like how you think.Dr. Fate said:These things happen. It's almost like the reverse of the Michael Keaton as Batman casting.

Mad question - what would have happened if Jackman been cast as Cyclops instead of Wolverine?
danielisthor said:So is Spiderman, Batman and Superman. Get over it.
Arach Knight said:Spider-Man maybe, but Batman and Superman are only on one team...the Justice League. (Okay so Batman also used to have the Outsiders). But Wolverine is on two different X-Men teams as well as being an Avenger, not to mention he has something like three books out right now. I believe Wolverine has the distinction of having belonged to the most teams, of any comic book character, ever created...including Avengers, X-Men, Weapon X, Alpha Flight etc etc.
I agree that Jackman would not have become as well known as he has become. Actually, has he been in any other decent movies? I cannot for the life of me recall at the moment...Dr. Fate said:Thank you.

Oh yeah, I forgot! Well, that appears to have potential. I have to wait and see for myself, though.FireandIce213 said:Havent seen it yet but I heard The Prestige was pretty good.

Or most women of average height, for that matter. He'd look like a dwarf standing next to the 5'11" Famke Janssen.Cyclops said:I don't think alot of artists understand just how tiny 5'3" really is. It's just incredibly short. He'd barely make it to chest-level with most men of average height.
