Are Rogue, Colossus,... famous as Wolverine, Ironman, Captain America, Thor or Hulk?
Deadpool has more solo comics than solo Rogue, Colossus, Cyclops and Storm together, and there was plan for Deadpool solo movie.
Wolverine is most famous mutant and you asking are we tired?
Wolverine = better box-office.
X-Men can't exist without Logan at big screen, he stole the show in FC just by one line.

First Class was amazing, his 10 second cameo didn't factor at all.

X-Men can stand without Wolverine. But yes he's the most popular so he's not going anywhere.

because logan dared to use the F word for the first time in an X-men movie, and because of that they reused that line once or twice in The wolverine and by that point it was done before and nothing special, the surprise/shock was gone

like everything with wolverine... less is more

Yup, just look at box-office with less or more of Logan in X-Men team movies.
Would agree for Cyclops solo movie, but you can't compare Rogue, Colossus, Storm to Ironman, Wolverine, Captain America, Thor or Hulk, definitely not to Spiderman.
Of course agree they need more screen time, but less time for Wolverine would be mistake. He has to be main character in X-Men, and it's obvious there isn't one main character in Avengers, when we have Ironman, Hulk, Captain America or Thor in one team.

Actually, both times I saw First Class, the audience started cheering as soon as they saw the cigar. The f-word was sort of the icing on the cake, so to speak. And when we were leaving, the thing I overheard people still chuckling over was that Wolverine turned up for a few seconds, not that he said the f-word.

Yes, First Class was amazing, and it would have been just as great without the cameo...but give some credit where it's due here. A lot of people like Wolverine whether you're sick of him or not.

Is also worth pointing out that Wolverine got to tell someone to f- themselves once (not twice) in The Wolverine, this time with "pretty boy" added at the end. And it got one of the loudest responses at the four shows I saw.

He certainly doesn't need to say it every movie...in fact, I'll be content if they put it to bed now, but the audiences seem to still be getting a kick out of it.

X-Men VS Avengers remains a bad compession. In X-men lore only Cable and
Deadpool have been able to sustain Solo books besides Wolverine.

If Wolverine Is announced character In X-Men film he will be major character.
Just like Tony Stark will be a major character In ANy Avengers sequel.

People also are forgeting by all acounts DOFP Is focusing more on Xavier and
Magneto

A case could be made with First Class that Magneto filled the wolverine void.

X-men Is ensemble film even more than Avengers since it has a lot more characters. You can't give them all same amount of screentime.

I certinly hope not to consently hear the antiwolverine rants till film opens:doh:

And that's why FC didn't earn so much money as X1, United or TLS, older movies, when tickets were cheaper.

"Go f**k yourself" can be Wolverine's catch phrase, it fits his character so well.

Wolverine was the reason X-Men became popular in the first place.

Of course, X-Men has plenty characters. The name X-Men in itself is bigger then Wolverine. The more well known's show up the larger the appeal sure, but it's success doesn't just come down to Logan. First Class proved that. It aint the highest grosser but it still made the cash and audiences loved it.

Yeah both times I saw it there was a huge response not only for the comedy but because it was friggen Wolverine. It's tough not to like that scene. Pure crowd pleasing moment.

I knew about the cameo before I saw it, but I didn't tell my dad about it. His reaction was priceless, and that made up for me having it spoiled before I saw it.

One of the reasons I'm tired of Wolverine's overexposure is because Cyclops suffers the most from how Fox handles Logan.

It's like they're afraid to have another Alpha Male X Man in the cast.

I'm still pissed that Cyclops was thrown under the bus, so there is some resentment there although I can understand the logic behind making Jackman the lead. He's a much bigger draw than Marsden. But the X-Men are an ensemble, always have been, and Logan could have been the face without kicking Scott to the curb. Both characters could and should have gotten their due.

Now Wolverine as a character? Not tired of him at all. I think he's awesome in the movies and the comics.

I've said this before but I have no problem with Wolverine or with Hugh Jackman. However, the character does now feel a bit played out on screen - we know so much about him and what makes him tick. It's hard to see how the next Wolverine movie can be related to Wolverine's past, or memory loss, or adamantium, or healing powers - so they should leave that stuff alone now.

And in the team movies, they should flesh out the others a bit more. Wolverine shouldn't dominate at the expense of Cyclops or anyone else.

I can understand how people are tired of Wolverine; he'll have been in seven movies by the time DOFP comes out.

But I know there are fans our there, like me, who still enjoy seeing Wolverine on the big screen.

But I'm also a big fan of First Class; which was pretty Wolverine-less :D.

I really want to see more of Beast (glad that's happening) and wouldn't mind seeing more of Gambit.

However, it doesn't seem like DOFP will be a Wolverine movie. Seems more like he's the facilitator for the movie to take place.

If you're sending somebody's consciousness back to the 70s that only leaves Wolverine.

Future Beast and Mystique are most likely dead; and neither Prof. X or Magneto seem like they would survive the "procedure."

I'm sick of Wolverine. Really, really sick of him. There are so many fantastic characters that deserve the spotlight.

He's definitely overexposed.

I will never understand why they had to make both X-Men Origins: Wolverine AND The Wolverine.

2 movies about Wolverine, why? Gah! It made me want to knock myself out with a lead pipe.

He's definitely overexposed but I wouldn't say I'm sick and tired of him. But in X-Men: Apocalypse, they should give more focus on the other characters.

For me, the first three X-men films + origins + the wolverine is the Wolverine and the X-Men Saga and i dont mean this in a bad way. I really enjoyed most of them and I really love wolverine. Nontheless I think it's time to switch the focus, not because I am tired of him but because I want to learn more about all the other characters. Imo First Class was the beginning of a new saga, where wolverine is only a sidecharacter and I hope they really make him one in DOFP.I don't want cameos and I don't want him to be the main character (he has his solo films for that), I just want him to be a normal sidecharacter.

I like wolverine and always have and I accept that he was the most popular character around the time X1 came out so of course they wanted to use him and continued to. I am a film student and the one thing my lecturers tell us is that you must get the eyes otherwise the audience wont connect so cyclops already had a downside for the studio to use as the main character. Its unfortunate but true.

Having said that... Just as Singers X-films ushered in the Comic book movie genre again in a way the audience embraced, The Avengers has ushered in the next stage where ensemble movies focusing on more than one character in a superhero movie are accepted.

X1 wouldnt have been the hit it was if it didnt focus on one character. Singer made a point of mocking the whole concept of X-Men, "what do they call you ? wheels? " and it worked because it meant the audience saw it from logans perspective and accepted it just as he did.

So yeah I think it is at a point where wolverine can take a back seat to a whole ensemble, it will be hard for FOX to suddenly just do it though.
