World I'm tired of the Ultimate Spiderman show hate.

Nah, he says he's the first Spider. But they never actually explore the idea. He could just have memories scrambled and think he's the first. Infact that's more likely because there was no moment for Peter to be captured and cloned by Ock.

So it only Kaines word. They never show it for sure?

No, not even once. Ofcourse that could change. But right now all we have is Kaines word. Never shown for sure.

I'm digging Doc Ock's new Hydra armor look and the contentious partnership with Arnim Zola.

And, they busted out the fourth wall talking after 4 episodes clean of that crap. Well not really clean, they usually do the fourth wall thing at the begining so as to get it out of the way. But they couldn't help themselves here. I mean, it didn't ruin the episode, we got regular Venom back for a bit and he looked TERRIFYING. So Kraven, Vulture and seemingly Rhino are on the 6 so far. And Doc Ock. Which mean 4 members strong. Also Ultimate Goblin I think, so make that 5.

New episode was rather....there. Like not really all that contributing to the plot. Involved Sandman(not as a villai, maipulated by Ock) but he's good now(as in an actual good guy). Vulture got a appearance for like the first 10 minutes then dissappeared. Not sure what his deal is. So, this episode is pretty filler. Action scenes are fantastic thought it's amazing what they managed to do on a desert island in the middle of nowhere against Sandman. Not just one but multiple. Plot was subpar, not really coherent kinda jumped betweeen setting up Ocks six, recovering Vulture, Cho learning a lesson, and saving Private Ryan, I mean Sandman. Lol

All in all it's basically what people are saying Batman vs Superman is as a USM episode. :funny:
Hopefully they pick up the pace soon.

That good nod to comics. Ock manipulate Sandman in comics too to join his Sinister six.

The last episode wasn't bad. It was a creative use of Sandman's powers, and IIRC, he temporarily split into different aspects of himself in the comics.

Ironically, on a show that's often cited as too kid-centric Amadeus Cho is less juvenile than he is as the Totally Awesome Hulk.

So theres Anti-Venom. Say what you want but they pulled him off perfectly in the recent episode. He was a complete beast for the entire time he was on screen. Cant wait to see him again probably in Maximum Carnage.

In a number of ways, this episode made me think of the 90s cartoon.
All it lacked is a deeper, more charismatic voice for Spidey, a little mix between that of Josh Keaton and Christopher Daniel Barnes.

This week's episode is another one that reminded me of the 90s cartoon, but not in a good way this time.
I like how the name 'May' struck a cord for Scarlet, and we saw a scarred Peter named Ben.

Wait, Ultimate Spider-Man is starting to feel more like the 90s Cartoon? Man, I need to start watching this more.

I'm reminded by bits and pieces, you might not get the same impression.

I think they're definately taking cues from it. It's getting better, even the moments when they break the 4th wall fit better so they're not that jarring.

I thought I might be the only one in this section who felt a resemblance.

Clark Gregg no longer appears in this show.
I kinda miss Phil, but not his dating May subplot.

Yeah. Same. Love Phils character. Hopefully Coulson comes back in IW.

One of the flaws I do have with this show is that the majority of the time it doesn't even feel like a Spider-man cartoon. It feels more of a Spider-man team up series where the focus is less on Spidey and his life and more around him working with random super heroes while also dealing with being a lackey for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Most of the time he's not even fighting his own villains. I mean why is Taskmaster in more episodes than Spidey's own villains?

I don't know but that's the decision they made with the show and it seems to be working for them so far.

If you read my signature, you know I have a channel dedicated for Gameboy and NDS games footage, and I recently completed both games based on USM games for the GBA and uploaded all footage for them.
Battle for New York (canonically not connected to the game simply named Ultimate Spider-Man) has James Arnold Taylor as the voice of the webhead, but since the GBA port has not voice acting I imagined the voices of various Spidey VAs, mostly Sean Marquette, the guy who voiced Spidey in USM, and it made me wish he returned to voice the character for this show instead of Drake Bell.

That was one of their goals when designing the show.

MCU tie ins, but now they seem to be listening to the fans and improving with the show.

USM started backup. Currently in the middle of a big S6 arc. Supposedly a 3 parter. And that's rare.

Big stuff has happened for those of you who have no insentive to watch it heres the details.

Peter is unmasked, Ock knows who he is.

Scarlet Spider is the traitor.

Rhino was brainwashed.

New S6 consists of Kraven, Utimate Goblin, Hydro Man, Ock, Electro, and Rhino.

That was a poorly written episode, especially given next week's promo. If Ock's plan was to attack Spider-man's home and loved ones, why didn't Ben just covertly contact the Sinister Six when he was at the party? They could have launched a surprise attack and had the heroes outnumbered 7 to 3.

And Peter gives Aunt May a key to an important government weapon as gift?

....Well when ya put it that way it has alot of holes. But still I enjoyed it. The likely added those extra points in to stretch the finale over 2 parts.

How did Ben know about the device? And how did Ock know the exact design of the key?

Plot holes. But holy crap on an emotional level and tone. The 3rd Part was possibly the second highest quality moment on this show. First being Goblin's debut. Second being Miles Morales SpiderVerse episode.
