You're an idiot. My friend is obviously more capable of finding shelter and taking care of herself than an old lady who is dying. And what does breathing underwater have to do with anything? You'd have to be pretty close to the water for it to flood that severely and maybe you don't know that its possible for people to do this thing called "swim" or seek higher grounds where the water can't reach. Not every hurricane is Katrina. We had a category 4 hit here years ago and the damage wasn't that severe and there were very few causalities. As long as you prepare and play it smart, you'll be fine unless it is the once in a century Katrina sized storm.

I'm guessing by this you've never been through a hurricane. You can drive around and do stuff right up to a certian point and be just fine. Hell, in florida we have the psycho surf squad's that surf right up to that moment because the waves are unfreakingbelievable. You do have to bunker down, but if you're able to drive around then it hasn't fully hit yet or else you wouldn't be able to drive.

Yeah, most of the ones we've had were nothing more than a bad thunderstorm, which is what most hurricanes end up being unless you get a category 4 or 5. We get a lot of people surfing right during them too because the waves are just sick and we don't typically get huge swells here. In fact, the best friend I was talking about, her and her boyfriend went surfing during one before. I think it was just a tropical storm and it was nothing too heavy.

i get out and give the vehicle to my best friend AND girl of my dreams.. i stay and console the old lady(lived a full life already) until we meet our demise or survive the cane
