Immonen to be next penciller for Ultimate Spider-Man

Frankly, after USM #101, a change in the writing dept. (either as a co-writer or full time) is probably more essential to USM than a new artist. But, the gig's Bendis' as long as he wants it.

Like I said before, Brooks was the no-brainer choice, but when does Marvel have a brain? Immonen's not horrible, and I'll give him a chance.

Bendis won't be leaving USM anytime soon. And really, USM may be some of the best work Bendis has done with his time at Marvel.

The thing about Brooks is that his work does mirror Bagley's, but it seemed Marvel was preparing Brooks for USM with the USM Annuals.

You think Brooks is a better artist than Immonen, or just a better fit for USM?

I'd have to disagree with both, but I'm curious because quite honestly I can't stomach Brooks's art.

Pretty good news. Immonen is no Mark Bagley but I dig Immonen's work. And pending how the Clone Saga turns out, hopefully Bendis cleans up his mess, I'll stick around to see how Immonen works out. And if Bendy doesn't clean up his mess I'll drop the book after Clone Saga anyway. :csad:

I'm not quite sure what to think about the Clone Saga. I'm wondering if Bendis should avoided writing a clone arc entirely.

So we can have time travelling Wolverine as Cable?
