Natalya is a babe. I think she is highly underrated as a hottie. Also Kaleb, that is fantastic :funny:

I wonder who gets full on screwed in the EC match. Does Kane or HHH interfere to take out Bryan? Does Wyatt interfere to take out Cena?

I fully expect Cena to get screwed by Wyatt, a la HBK/Taker style (where Wyatt rises from underneath the chamber). It wouldn't shock me if Cena is one of the last two men & Bray costs him the title.

As much as I want to see Bryan win the title, the EC is not the place for him to do it. And I know this might sound crazy, but I don't mind Kane being the one who screws him... on the condition that their feud is wrapped up on TV before Mania. At this point, the only acceptable WM matches for Bryan are the title match or a match with HHH. Or... both! A match with HHH is not what I want to see, but if anyone can make a match with The Game interesting at this point, it's Bryan.

But the one guy who could throw the biggest wrench in the EC match... BROOOOCK LEEESNARRR. It's probably unlikely, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Christian get brutalized by Brock before the match starts to take his place. If that were to happen, we might see the Undertaker show up & screw Brock.

So many possibilities of who gets screwed...

I could still be alone in this, but I think Orton is really good at what he does, at least when he is not booked like hot garbage.

Right now, he is being booked like hot garbage, which is why him headlong WM is no good. Had he been booked like a strong, competent champ (and not already faced Bryan so many times on ppv), Orton vs Bryan or Orton vs Punk would be a good main event.

They REALLY messed this up. After Cena came back and won the WHC, they should've ran with him as WHC, Bryan as WWE champ, and Punk as Rumble winner for the 3-way at WM between their top three faces. THAT would be a main event worthy of WM30.

You aren't alone with that train of thought. His series of matches with Bryan, Christian, Cena, Cesaro & Sheamus are proof that he's one of the best workers in the company (I'd put him third behind Bryan & Cesaro). And his in-ring work as a heel has gotten so much better since his last run in 2009, it's a shame he's been booked like a whiny chump. He's relied a lot less on the chinlocks that kill the flow in his matches and spent more time working over body parts, so there's a much more fluid style to his work this time around.

On a semi-related note, can we talk about how awesome this lineup is for the Elimination Chamber match? Bryan, Cena, Cesaro, Christian, Orton & Sheamus are arguably the top six workers in the company at this point and there's no dead weight in the match. This is the biggest benefit of the unified titles, since having two Chamber matches really watered down the quality of opponents. I'd eventually like to see them shift away from the PPV gimmick and use it sparingly, when you legitimately have six guys worthy of fighting for the title. Too often in past years have the outcome of Chamber matches been dreadfully predictable... this year not so much, but it's more of a rarity than the norm.

Agreed with all of this. Bryan's chase isn't going to end on a throwaway PPV like Elimination Chamber. At this point, he's either gonna be in the title match(what I would love to see) or he faces HHH(which I wouldn't mind).

Oh man, come on. Stop. That makes me so upset.

I've been listening to a lot of Austin's podcast stuff today and the chats he had with Nash, DDP, Jericho and Joey Styles were really entertaining, he just comes off as a humble, regular guy that's much easier to talk to than you'd initially imagine.

I also listened to him talking to fans about recent booking and it was interesting to hear that he's not sold on Bray's promos yet. He also pretty much agreed on the Rumble mess and felt that there was still time to move the chess pieces before Mania if WWE actually listen to the fans which he feels they aren't.

He also had a chat with Meltzer where Meltzer said that the reactions for Bryan had not translated into selling tickets or merch straight away, Austin countered that he feels it's because the green light on a full steam main event push hasn't been given, and that it's amazing that he's so white hot in spite of deliberate obstacles put in his path. Austin thinks they can't judge Bryan as a draw until he gets the full booking and merch push.

He also talked about the notion of making the fans want the Bryan title win and run so bad that the moment would be huge, but said WWE need to be careful that the window for making the most of Bryan will start to close if they don't act. He also said Reigns has a big future but they need to take their time as he's still too green.

The whole thing just made me wish Austin was on creative a booking committee along with Jericho and Edge, 3 guys who seem content in their careers and with logical booking minds and no agendas.

This is interesting, I wonder if Vader might be in the 2014 HOF Class.

That should tell the WWE Officials something, The Mainstream is more interested in people/characters they can RELATE TO. Less about being a "superhero" that's built like a brick ***** house.

Hey Vince and Batista - DEAL WITH IT! :oldrazz::

That's a nice pic of Bryan and Brie. It was also interesting to see Vince's twitter account supporting Bryan. I'm sure someone tweets for Vince but I imagine he gave the ok.

Reminder: Cm Punk vs. John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan, w/ Bryan potentially victorious, was gonna main event WrestleMania XXX until Batista decided to come back.

Watching last year's G1Climax. Figured it was the best way to familiarize myself with anyone on the NJPW roster I hadn't seen much of.

Also, I want to be sure I understand how this tournament works before this year's comes around.

Also, I love Yujiro Takahashi's theme.

Now it's worth noting that Bryan in now #4 on the Merch sales totem pole and that when people thought Bryan was FINALLY going to win at HIAC 2013 the buys increased for HIAC. Or is that still being written off because they think Cena returning to wrestle Alberto Del Rio increased PPV buys? lol

Still the best wrestling tournament I've ever seen. Day 9 of the tournament was also my favorite wrestling show from last year. :woot:

All of this along with the presence of Shawn Michaels in the main event. :oldrazz:

Ultimate Warrior
Jake Roberts
Lita
Razor Ramon
Vader
Paul Bearer
Demolition

Man, that would be one Hell of a class!

- Regarding the Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Curtis Axel and Ryback match for the Elimination Chamber Kickoff pre-show, it's been noted within WWE that Axel, being from the Minneapolis area and being from the well-known Hennig family, could get a babyface reaction.

- The Rock is said to be the leading candidate for the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame in California. It's more up to Rock, if he wants it, and how his schedule goes.

- WWE was interested in bringing NXT to broadcast TV this past September but apparently there was no interest from networks and now it's being advertised as a WWE Network exclusive show.

- It's likely that The Wyatt Family will end up costing John Cena the Elimination Chamber match in some fashion, to set up the planned Cena vs. Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania XXX.

- There are still no word on plans for the WWE Divas Title at WrestleMania XXX. The original plan, before Naomi got injured, was for her to face AJ Lee in New Orleans. Naomi would likely have won the title as part of a storyline on the next season of Total Divas.

Naomi's injury and comeback can still play into Total Divas. After receiving word last week that she won't need surgery, there is still time to figure her into WrestleMania plans. She's estimated to be out of action for 4 to 6 weeks. She won't be able to appear on TV, unless she drives to RAW, because the pressure from a flight would be dangerous for her condition.

- Rey Mysterio's contract is the next major WWE deal to expire, in about two months or so. Rey has one of the highest downsides but is also one of the biggest merchandise movers for the company.

Usually at this point WWE officials would be aggressively trying to get Rey to sign a new deal but that has not really been the case.

Speaking of Mysterio, the reason he was booked on Northern California shows last weekend instead of his hometown San Diego is because officials felt he's been booked too often in San Diego. San Diego ended up drawing the worst crowd of last week.

- One of the reasons WWE may not be pushing Apple TV clearance for the WWE Network that hard is because Apple TV is going to take a 50% cut of all orders. Similar streaming services like Xbox or Roku are closer to 30%

- WrestleMania XXX isn't sold out just yet but there are 9,916 of the 55,000+ ticket holders who have their seats up for sale on Stubhub, so they were buying them for investment purposes. Nosebleed seats are going for $46.90 and you can still get two front row seats for $13,300 each.

- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Scott Hall is indeed on the list for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame. Regarding speculation that Diamond Dallas Page may be inducted with Hall and Jake Roberts, he is reportedly not on the list.

- Regarding the one week free trial for the WWE Network at launch, similar to offers with other companies, you will still have to sign up with a credit card and the subscription will automatically renew until you cancel it.

- There has been talk of doing a cliffhanger ending to the February 24th RAW to encourage WWE Network sign-ups.

- The plan right now is for the RAW post-show to be taped backstage weekly, since it would be going on at the same time as the dark main event in the arena.

The Yes Man who wouldn't take No: The Daniel Bryan story.

First, glad you're listening to Austin's podcasts. You're right, he comes across as surprisingly friendly and down to earth. I think his podcast with Nash on nWo is my favorite because of their banter and Nash's funny stories.

Pretty much everything Austin said made total sense, though Bray's promos sell it for me. But Austin's one of the top two draws of all times, so he likely seeing things through some different lenses.

Sounds like you did listen to Jericho's podcast with Edge as well? I agree that those three on a booking committee would be awesome. Austin's thoughts that if # 30 at the Rumble wasn't going to be Bryan, it should've been a heel...common sense. And I honestly want to know what other decisions did Creative make that Edge and Jericho tried to argue.

Reminder: Cm Punk vs. John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan, w/ Bryan potentially victorious, was gonna main event WrestleMania XXX until Batista decided to come back.

I think that was rumor and speculation by fans. I don't recall an actual dirtsheet report on it.

Ive yet to hear the rest of Austins podcast but I heard the one with John Cena yesterday and they both come off as down to earth guys who have tremendous respect for one another and who really care about the future of the company.
