That budget is inaccurate, as it takes into account previous attempts to make a Supes movie that failed. The budget was more like $210 million, same as X3!

same here... just not that end with the island. Other than that, i actually loved it. THe scene with the plane was amazing

Yes the plane sequence was amazing, and i didnt think the island lift was that good at first, but on subsequent viewings, you see it really is spectacular, as is the subsequent unconscious descent from space.

I thought SR had lots of good bits, but just didn't fit well together. They should have focused more on the 'where the **** has he been al this time?' sorta angle. Instead of making it a very plain story. And did anyone like the kid thing? I think the next superman will be much better, singer just wanted to re-establish the franchise, making a film that is quite similar to the original donner film. Not a great movie, but it's growing on me

Oh believe me it grows on you the more you watch it, i gave it a 7 when i first watched it, but since subsequent viewings, its gone up to an 8.5 now i have watched it 7 times.
