Incredible Hulk set to start filming in April 07!

It's not a restart. It's a sequel. That's been reported on several threads here so if you search around you'll find all the details. The only question is who's playing Banner and the release date.

So you reckon they are this far advanced but will hold off 2 years after shooting starts ?

My internal calender is off. Yeah it should be ready for 2008 but there's no room to squeeze it in there. It's crowded.

It could be crowded but let's look at a lot of the supposed movies

Indy 4-could easy be held off another year given it's track record

Avatar-Again it's Cameron,i wouldn't bet on it making 2008

BB2-Most likely will but they are still holding off for confirmation

Wolverine-very tentative with no director, could easy be put back a year

Iron Man-dead cert but with a May 2 release they could space them well out

Actually advanced the April 07 filming date has been mentioned in reports from other sites so you weren't the only who caught that.:) ;)

Where?

I can easily see this as a 2008 release. Iron Man start filming in Feb 2007 for a May 2008 release and Hulk starts filming April 2007 for a July/August release.

In 2003 X2 was released in May or June with Hulk being released in July, I can see Marvel doing the same thing.

* Leterrier said production will start in April.

As for characters returning from the first film, Leterrier confirmed that General Ross will be there. Avi Arad addded that filming will start in April, 2007.

The film starts shooting in April, though the panelists would not comment on casting (except to say that the David Duchovny rumors are untrue).

I was mixing up the years in my head. If they start this April it's surely a 2008 film and we might get a date annoucement on Aug 10th at the Marvel Studios conference. :)

I'm thinking 2008 as well, Hellboy 2 starts production in April '07 for a summer 2008 release so Hulk 2 may do the same.

Iron Man as well, and Hellboy 2, which i cant wait for. IMO though, the sooner the better for Hulk 2.

i hope they wait a bit and release it in August or winter time, i just dont see this movie being T2 level (which is what we need, this movie HAS to be awesome for it to make 120mill atleast). I just hope Marvel dont do a DC and decide to take on Avatar or Indy

I suppose we will find out soon enough, even in 2009 it will have heavy competition. Narnia 2 is another summer '08 release which will be a smash hit.

yeah, TIH needs 2 weeks without another big action movie, i dont see that happening in summer 08

Me neither, but then again, this is going to happen every summer, in 2009 a Superman sequel (which i REALLY hope gets made) and Captain America are already pencilled in, and who knows, FF 3 and Watchmen could also be summer '09 (although i think they are currently developing Watchmen for '08). Wonder Woman also seems set for an '08/09 release, thats another possible smash hit. And then there is Wolverine as well, which Fox will probably **** up, but it will make money. The Magneto prequel is also set for '09, so Hulk 2 will have competition no matter when it opens.

Yes there very good, they track just about every film's shooting dates and locations

A Hulk film will have its hands full in summer 2008 with the competition mentioned above. Hellboy would just get massacred. I can see Hellboy pulling a Ghost Rider and pulling back to February 2009 if they're smart.

Now, I'm hoping Indy 4 never gets made. I'm an Indy fan and I would hate to route against that film.

Marvel just stated that they'll announce another 2008 film soon. I'm betting it's Wolverine and not Hulk. Iron Man to start off the summer. Batman a month later and Wolverine in July. There's no more room for any superhero film that wants to succeed. Fox is too greedy to delay Wolverine. I'm betting Hulk hits May 1, 2009. The only thing that seriously comes in to play is Marvel hedging its bets. If their only solo project (Iron Man) doesn't do as well as expected, can the fledgling studio afford to wait a year before their next solo release? I'd like to see a Punisher 2 slip in and join Wolverine as character cover fire. I know LGF has the Punisher rights but Marvel cut a good deal with LGF.
