Call me crazy, but I think this is one of those cases where the cgi looks and works better than the models in the first film. Dubai being dropped on London looks slick as hell.

It looks like its come straight from the gates or hell,actually i would say an Apocalypse lol i don't understand people moaning about the destruction porn its Roland for peace sake. Just switch off and enjoy the film for what it is . Destruction porn

Haha yeah. I am a Civil Engineer, I know Burj Khalifa (or any building) will never stay intact at an angle even before impact. It is designed to stand upright, not upside down at an angle.

But does that bother me, not at all. It's a goddamn fantasy movie, something that will never happen and something that exists purely for spectacle.

Yeah Agreed. I thought a miniature city model was used for the first film. Ofcourse not their fault, he didn't have a choice.

That's what his movies are, pure summer entertainment. Turn your brain off and have fun for a couple hours. That's why I like all the Transformers and the other Emmerich movies, just harmless fun.

I'm basically seeing this movie for the aliens. The designs from the first film are right up there with the Xenomorph and Predator in my opinion.

Yeah, and surprisingly, I think the CGI and overall special effects look pretty damn good from what I've seen so far.

Yeah, he doesn't cheap out. He or Bay. I do respect these guys, questionable their films may be, for using practical and CG to its optimum. Bay is like one of the only directors I have seen that never uses CG as a crutch, but when needed.
