Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles 2 - Part 1

Saw it today.
Not bad but not great either, the expectations being high after such a good first movie it was a tall order.

The wall-turn and costume reveal would be a nice 'hark-back' to the Bond elements seen in the first film.

Enjoyed this movie and the Edna Mode scenes. Although the first is still the best. Can't wait for a third installment where it picks up after 10-15 years. Whatever they do, please don't turn Jack Jack evil then returns to good. But that would be interesting too.

I highly enjoyed this flick. The first one might be better, but this was good enough. And yeah, that deleted scene with Honey was hilarious, they should've included her somehow.

Even though that deleted scene with Honey is good, I'm glad they deleted it because as Brad said it's best to continue having her be heard off screen.

Has the home release date been changed for this as it says it's the 6th Nov release (today) but no one is stocking it ?

In the US it’s today, yeah. I think the UK date is the 19th.

Saw it tonight, fantastic sequel that lives up to the original for me, the film gets off to an electric start with The Incredibles battling the Underminer and then settles into a two hander story, one of which is brilliant and the other that is less interesting but has some good moments.

I loved everything with Elastigirl, her storyline was great as the poster girl of the campaign to get Supers legalized again. The Screenslaver threat she investigates was a lot of fun and had a great oldschool detective mystery atmosphere to it, even though the twist was obvious from the start.

The two big set pieces Elastigirl has, stopping the hover train and saving the Ambassador in the chopper convoy, were full of invention and visually stunning and I loved the way she set up and tracked the Screenslaver, even if it turned out as a double cross.

Mr Incredible's storyline was a bit more hit and miss for me, Mr Incredible himself has some great moments in his stay at home Dad role and the everyday life trials and tribulations with him, Dash and Violet were fine, but the Jack-Jacxk stuff just didn't appeal to me much, it's not awful but I found it slowed things down and took time away from the more interesting story

The big finale on the Hydroliner was clearly inspired by the finale of Speed 2! :p It's filled with cool moments and just like the other sequences it's visually stunning and inventive, I especially loved Elastigirl going after Evelyn on her sleek plane, spectacular! The films epilogue scene was just pitch perfect. :D:

9/10
