I plan on seeing this with my brother because he doesn't want to see it alone but man do I think this film is going to be rancid garbage. Liam Hemsworth is not a lead actor and that Jessie Usher guy looks bland so far. I thought the original was a bad movie even when I was 10-11 in 1996. It's entertaining because of Smith and Goldblum but it's bad.

I agree, excessive clips and trailers usually means something bad.

I can't shake the feeling this is gonna be a JURRASIC WORLD size hit despite having no interest n seeing it.

I fully expect this to be bad, but I'm hoping it might at least be enjoyable-bad. I know the lack of Will Smith and a good new lead hurts it, but seeing Goldblum, Pullman and the rest back might give it some enjoyability factor.

I don't know, I do have a lot of nostalgia for the original despite knowing full well that it's a very cheesy movie, so this movie has some level of "obligatory viewing" status for me...just hope it doesn't leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm not seeing the buzz and why haven't any of the trades talked about it's tracking? Usually when a film is tracking to do over 100 million opening weekend we hear about it a few weeks before a film opens.
