Still wouldn't mind seeing one or two general questions, but, other than that, a good interview.

That's true, JB. I want to see more of the base questions! :cmad:

Aside from wanting to see how I would do with my own questions...when it came to the end of the interview, I thought it was rather long. Although, looking at it after I posted it? I could've asked a few general/base questions. Not as long as I thought. :clown:

I was afraid someone would say that, but I was hoping it would instead be viewed as that is just how interested I was in the interview. Anyone on MSN knows that I talk a lot when I'm curious about something. :oldrazz:

Geez..I -so- claim next weeks ITPS.

Just throwing it out there. It's mine! (I wanna do Question)

But...I was going to do Q next week. :csad:

The next interview will be posted sometime tomorrow night. As for whom the interviewee is? Find out tomorrow. :oldrazz:

Season III: "Dangerously Cheesy"

Welcome to Inside The Poster's Studio: Season III once again. I'm your host, trustyside-kick, and tonight I've got with me yet another dubbed "newbie" to sit in the hot seat and answer a few questions. Just who is this "newbie"? If the picture above and the title of today's interview throws you off...then you seriously need to get your head checked.

trustyside-kick: Thanks for agreeing to speak with me at this time, SenseiofCheese. I know you must be tired from the work day.

SenseiofCheese: I really want to say yes, but my job requires so little effort that it almost makes me feel guilty to get paid.

trusty: Glad to hear that performing at the local strip clubs isn't wearing you down. So let us begin with...wait, I'm sorry. I just have to ask this. I'm sure everyone here is just wondering...and I do believe I speak for everyone when I ask this: what is your favorite cheese?

Sensei: My favorite cheese? My God...it's Sophie's Choice all over again. But..if I had to go with one, I'd go with Cheese crushed from the bones of toddlers. Do you not have that in America?

trusty: Unfortunately, no...ya sick, Icelandic bastard. Well, that wasn't exactly what I expected. Personally, I would've guessed Cheddar or something.

Sensei: Cheddar is overrated. Kind of like Burton's Batman.

trusty: ...Oh you will pay for that one day, but not now. Onto the "real" questions. With the implementation of the Superherohype! RPG wiki site provided to us by MaskedManJRK, it seems as though it might be just what we need when some new...well, newbie...waltzes into our games without a clue as to what has transpired. As a dubbed "newbie"...do you think it could have a grande effect if each player in each RPG tries their best to update and keep up with it?

Sensei: I do. But I think it also comes down to the new people being willing to actually read it. And if some new guy applies for, say, Green Goblin, and can't be bothered to PM the player that came before him...well, I don't see that guy reading a whole Wiki article of stuff.

trusty: Well, would you agree it is better than the GM or AGM telling the newbie to read that player's previous work? Reading a wiki page is better than a whole Season upon Seasons of work depending on how long that player's run was.

Sensei: That is very true. I've had one or two instances where I was told to go back and weed out and read the previous player's posts. My first, second and final reaction was "Uh...well, no."

trusty: Spoken like a true...well, you're the first person from Iceland I've met so I'm going to assume you aren't lying in this interview. It's kind of like the court system. Lie here and you're...well there is no better way to put it than simply "screwed". :cmad:

Sensei: And by 'screwed', you must mean 'let back out on the street'. Honestly, if there's another reason Byrd isn't in prison already, I'd love to hear it.

trusty: Haha, good one. Alright, time to get serious...went off on a tangent again almost. Time for a few questions concerning an RPG that you have really grabbed everyone's attention in: The "World of Heroes": DC RPG. Now, you started off portraying a Green Lantern villain whom pretty much people say is Kyle's own Sinestro only Batf*** crazy. What made you choose him of all villains?

Sensei: My reasons for going with Neron were two-fold. First, I really wanted to play a villain that was, in fact, batsh** insane and would give me the opportunity to just kill a bunch of people. I hadn't really gone into that 'homicidal villain' territory, and I don't think I have since then. Second, I had just read the Ion miniseries, which prompted me to read up on Neron on wikipedia. A match was made.

trusty: I understand you are a big Green Lantern fan as well? I believe you told me this once.

Sensei: It's strange, because I'm a huge fan of the GL mythology, not so much of the individual Lanterns. I don't have a favorite out of Rayner, Jordan, Stewart or Gardner, rather I like the Green Lantern Corps in it's entirety.

trusty: I can understand. The Sinestro Corps War really caught my eye. I'm in the same boat I believe.

You being a big Green Lantern fan, why don't you pick up a hero ringslinger in DC? I know you portray Hal in UDC--and very very well may I add--but I'm surprised a fan like you, wouldn't take the first chance he got to play one of your favorites in one of the Big Three RPGs. Hal, John, and Guy are just a few of the big names of the Green Lantern Corps who are hanging in the air and have been available for portrayal in the DC RPG.

Sensei: Hell, it boggles my mind that Hal is still available on the DC RPG. But it's the other side of the coin to my previous answer. What I like the most about the Green Lanterns is the team-aspect of it. There are literally thousands of Lanterns in the DC Universe, yet I don't think it would work to have more than one in any given RPG. Let's take the DA arc for example. Here we had all the heroes working together to fight Doomsday. If one Lantern can't do much, why have two floating around?

trusty: Well, that is also like saying why have Wonder Woman or Aquaman in the JLA when you have Superman and Martian Manhunter? Each character fights a tad differently, and uses what advantages they have. We saw a good example of this when part of the JLA fought Devilfish. I loved Kyle and Sinestro fighting in their own ways. Although, arcs like the DA arc, are rare. I'd personally love to see a bunch of Lantern PCs do some sort of space mission.

And as you have brought up the DA arc...it is obviously where I'm going next.

Sensei: Hit me with it, T-Bag.

trusty: ...You're lucky I don't edit the interviews for stuff like that. But don't call me that again.

Sensei: Okay, okay. Just put the knife down.

trusty: There is no doubt, that you have changed the way people perceive the character Zachary Zatara. You took a character who, to me at least, was annoying, selfish, and not what you'd call a hero. First off, why? Why him? You put out some great stuff in the IC thread but what made him appeal to you so much?

Sensei: I first saw Zach in 52, albeit very briefly. His later appearances in Teen Titans and Robin only strengthened that 'selfish, cocky bastard' image. But I thought he was funny, so I when I discovered he 'didn't exist' within the DC RPG continuity, I jumped at it. At first, I only planned on making a few funny posts. I had no intention of developing him as I like to believe I have.

trusty: I recall that 52 appearance. You have most definitely taken the character who was in that phase of his life, and changed him. Whatever plans the Teen Titans have for next Season...they better include Zachary.

Sensei: They do indeed. I have some twists and turns planned, and I couldn't be more thrilled that people have taken to Zach as much as they have. I mean, I've RP'ed with most of my Hype idols through Zatara, including having a scene with Keyser's Joker, which was just phenomenal.

trusty: Yea. I suppose the greatest appeal, is that throughout the entirety of the Dark Alliance arc...we saw everything unravel through the eyes of a "civilian" basically. What was your favorite moment in this arc? Whether it be something you did yourself, or someone else's work.

Sensei: The thing that immediately comes to mind is Johnny Blaze's reveal of Brainiac in Doomsday's body. That absolutely floored me, and filled me with dread everytime I saw that he had made a new post. And I can't, in good conscience, neglect to mention Keys and MaskedManJKR's fight to the death between Joker and Batman. You Hypesters write stuff that DC would be LUCKY to publish.

trusty: You're part of the dubbed "Hypesters" too you know. So you should pat yourself on the back too with such a compliment.

Sensei: I always truly appreciate getting compliments, but I am one of the people who really are their own worst critic. That said, I am really proud of what I've done with Zatara.

trusty: And I'm sure everyone else is proud of you too. Looking back at your entire career in the Superherohype! RPGs thus far, what would you say is your favorite arc? I know the DA arc is still fresh in your mind...but I'd like for you to really think about it. If it is your answer, then fine. But each RPG has had their "big arcs" and I believe you've been around for some. Of course, it could even be a small arc.

Sensei: Hmm, that's a tough question.....if I give it some thought, the arc that I truly am enjoying more than I have most others is my current solo arc with Wally West over in the One Universe RPG, where I've been introducing the Rogues. Another one that comes to mind is the Nexus storyline over in Ultimate Marvel, which has seen me pick up a character I used to loathe, Captain America, and actually get to love him. The team of players I work with on the Ultimates makes the Ultimate Marvel RPG one of my favorites to visit.

trusty: Aside from being in the majority of the current day RPGs, you've also been in a few of the RPGs that didn't quite make it. Out of all the RPGs to have ever seen the light of day...which one is or was your favorite?

Sensei: The one RPG that I truly missed when it was gone was the DC: New Age RPG. I had a lot planned for the retired and depressed Ralph Dibny, a lot of which mirrored my current writing with Zatara. But, as it is with these things, I was part of the problem with my lack of posting.

trusty: And I again believe I speak for everyone when I say we put the blame all on you. Kidding, of course. It indeed was sad to see the RPG die.

You've got yourself spread pretty far into each of the three major RPGs, as well as a few others. With all that exposure to different players, since some join only a select few of RPGs for different reasons, there is a lot of potential to constantly work with new faces. Which posters have you enjoyed working with most?

Sensei: I'm pretty sure it isn't going to come as much of a surprise, seeing as we're secretly gay lovers and all, but I find that working with Cats is never a disappointment. We just seem to connect on what we want to happen and how we want to go about it, that when we do work together, we almost don't even need to discuss it. We just let it happen, and it goes down just the way we want it to. I do believe we have a certain chemistry with one another that helps make our characters interact, no matter how unlikely the pairing (Hawkman and Black Mask, for example).

trusty: Makes sense. I think just about everyone has at least one person they tend to turn to for possible story arc ideas

Sensei: Mine is British. But I don't hold it against him.

trusty: Everyone seems to drool at the idea of being able to play some of the big A-listers: Superman, Batman, Spider-Man...and if you're in OU Deadpool is apparently up there too. If you were able to kick one of the posters off their A-list character throne...where you would receive NO consequence for your actions, which character would you like to play the most?

Sensei: If I were to go with my strengths as a writer, then I would have an absolute BLAST with Spider-Man. But, I've never been one to go with what's easy in these RPGs, so I'd like the chance to one day play Superman, whether it be in World of Heroes or One Universe.

trusty: Well, Andy C. is a rabid Superman fan and Eddie Brock has been aching at the role for so long that now that he has it...I doubt he will let it go anytime soon. Sorry, Sensei. :(

Sensei: That's okay. My native Icelandic powers of stabbing people in the legs might come in handy.

trusty: I thought you guys were lazy. Have the seals been giving you lip lately? Not obeying orders?

Sensei: Damnit, ever since you told them they had 'rights', they've been refusing to do what I tell them. It's like sleeping with Byrd all over again.

trusty: And on that funny note, is there anything else you'd like to say? Sort of like a message for our readers.

Sensei: Hmmm...this is my chance to get my thoughts out there. My one opportunity to say exactly what I want to...

...I got nothing. EXCEPT! My absolute favorite thing on the Hype, aside from the people I've come to know there, is logging on and seeing that someone has sent me a PM, and wants to talk about doing an arc together. So, you know...

Will work for 'arc'ing.

trusty: Ah, I see. Advertising yourself like a piece of meat. At the end of my interview? I don't think so!

Sensei: You can't shut me up! I'm the voice of the people! The Icelandic people! All fourteen of us are here to stay!

trusty: ...Touche. Oh, and Sensei? That T-Bag comment was hilarious. I was literally laughing my ass off.

Sensei:You make me blush, sir.

trusty: But really...don't call me that again.

Sensei: You got it, ****face.

Cool stuff.

You really do need to shorten your damn questions, though. :cmad:

I tried to shorten the questions, but I like to gradually lead into the questions. Makes it more interesting, to me. So if you get a few sentences before or after the question...tough luck. :o

I don't blame MB, personally. I mean, he's American. Reading is your Kryptonite.

I saw noticeable improvement from the last one, don't get me wrong.

But there were a couple of times where I was reading it and thought ".... Okay, what was he asking again?"

Icelandic psychic powers.

In fact, if I ever do or say anything that's weird, just chalk it up to Icelandic super powers. My own personal 'prep time', if you will.

Damn! And I wanted to chalk it up to the Icelanders' wise tale of every fourth child being born mentally disturbed...

Not my fault if you have the attention span of a 2 year old. :o

MB...I should have told you this a long time ago..

*whips out sweater made of Icelandic wool*

I'm your father. Yours, and your three brothers'. :csad:

Dammit, trusty. You could jam in a lot more questions if you shorten up your questions. Remember, while you are the host, the interviewee is the star.

If I had the patience to read this, I would so kill you.
