he said repeatedly that he was tired of fight scenes that look like choreographed ballets

even within begins' dialogue

tom yum goong!! or "protector" as it's called here.

i say we see more of his gadgets. i'm all for his fighting, but i hope he uses his smoke grenades and batarangs a little more. as for the camera, i really dont care. i actually knew what was going on even with the choppy effects.

I don't give a flying ass about Nolan's realism. THIS is how a fight scene should be done. ALL IN ONE TAKE.

That was REALLY good! But again, it still proves my point. Why the hell would you wait and watch your buddy get knocked out and then take on the guy when you can just knock him the back of the head while he's going after your buddy?

Which one? The train fight was still pretty choppy and tight

I didn't see anything wrong with that scene. The scene that is the most blatantly guilty of this technique where even I found it to be a distraction was at the docks, where it was practically a blur. And it didn't even bother me until repeated viewings because I was so loving the entire terror element Nolan used in that scene to officially introduce Batman into his world. I can still remember how pumped I got the first time I saw the guy getting practically sucked into the container, then the thugs looking up to see a monster starring down at them, and of course:

"WHERE ARE YOU?!"

"here"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The fight seem too over the top and very cartoony. Feels way too unbelievable to me.

Just like SFI: Try again kiddo. :D

I like my fights like Bourne and even like BB.

I really don't care, I would like to see a few Bruce fight scenes in the new one though.

A must, I like how it was quick but I love it when its quick and they dont shake and change the shot so you are confused its like your too slow. Like in Snatch when Mickey punches gorgeous george. You go wait wtf!

thats one of my favorite movies and prolly my favorite scene aswell,I liked the fighting in that movie but alot of it was one hitter quitters from Pitt

I would love to see something like that in the Dark Knight. It would be really cool... but propably not going to happen. :csad:

I more interested in how the Joker fights than anything else.

We all know how it SHOULD be.....but have never seen it will play out on film. Should be some great scenes there.

I wonder what improvised weapon(s) Joker uses in the party scene......

Of course it's not going to happen. American directors are unable to shoot fight scenes.

are you still talking about Nolan not able to shoot a fight scene

I loved the editing in Batman Begins. I have no idea what you people are complaining about unless you want Batman to long like a Kung-fu movie.

i love batman begins, and honestly, the editing was sometimes weird in the flick.

like when gordon first met bruce as pre-batman. When Gordon says "Some nut", it cuts away too soon. stuff like that. not bad and easily looked over though.

He can't.

These ludicrous black-and-white statements are best left in the trash bin. Seriously, how the hell does that even make sense? Proofread next time.

I'm not allowed to say the editing in Batman Begins was good? That's nice.

Glance your eyes over to the following sentence you wrote, then maybe everything will make sense.

I guess some people need everything laid out for them....

Yeah, but I don't understand why some people need to go out of their way to be an ass.

Get over whatever it is.

no, i would really like to see the fights, and even when i slowed it down to see everything there were some camera shots...that had nothing to do with the fighting when Batman took on the ninjas at the end, watch it slowly you'll see what I mean, it's right before he takes out his grapple gun to shoot something after he jumps on on one of the ninjas over the rail

Yeah, but I don't understand why some people need to go out of their way to be an ass.

Get over whatever it is.

You know, I was gonna let it go, but since you insist on calling names...

By your own words, people who do not like the BB editing for the fights, want it to "look like a kung-fu" movie. Not only is this a gross generalization, but pretty damn ignorant considering the many methods used to film action.

Not to mention a prime example of a black/white statement: if you don't want this, then you must want that. And I'M the ass. Yeah, that makes sense.
