Personally, the "choppy/erratic visual style" gets old after a while. I thought it was fine when first introducing Batman (fighting thugs at the docks) because it kept him mysterious. But after that, and got a little annoying.

Hopefully in this movie, Nolan will push the camera back a tad. :word:

I think we will get better action shots just because Christian Bale is learning in a lot more detail how to fight in whatever that fighting style they called is.

Why would he need to learn more techniques if they were just going to use the same action type scenes?

Quoting Bale on the BB fight scenes: "You don't really see what's going on." Exactly. How fun is that.

I don't know if that's saying much. Did you see how much choreography they planned in the BB DVD extras? And how much of that actually translated onto the film, in which people could see? Barely half.

yeah, look Drexx you might be happy with it, but the Bourne movies, THE BOURNE MOVIES which started the choppy ness showed more than BB,man, sorry but they're gonna have to show more for me to like it

Why the hell is that directed at me? I hated the fighting scenes in BB.

You know, I was gonna let it go, but since you insist on calling names...

By your own words, people who do not like the BB editing for the fights, want it to "look like a kung-fu" movie. Not only is this a gross generalization, but pretty damn ignorant considering the many methods used to film action.

Not to mention a prime example of a black/white statement: if you don't want this, then you must want that. And I'M the ass. Yeah, that makes sense.

Yeah, you were being an ass by over analyzing what I said. How is it a "gross" generalization? That's just weird. Its not like I said all gay men like the color pink. Do you have a problem with Kung Fu movies? I don't, I love them.

Please tell me where I overanalyzed. From what I can see, I commented on face-value.

Gross, glaring, obvious, unconcealed...do you want me to keep going?

Did I say I had problems with Kung Fu? I had a problem with you stating such an ignorant comment. People that don't like BB's fighting must like kung-fu? Does that not sound ******ed?

Jesus dude, I wrote "Batman looking like a Kung fu movie" to sound funny. How does mentioning Kung Fu start a flame war? If Kung-Fu is offensive then sue me.

If it was said in jest, perhaps you should have indicated it as such. There's no flame war here, I just call out something if I think it's bullsh1t.

Yes, Batman in a kung fu movie is bull****.
But a Kung-fu movie without batman is not bull****.

Discussion ended. Lets be friendly again.

Agree. They planned alot of great choreography and tons of different fighting and cool styles yet you can't even appreciate it because of the camera work during the fights.

To put it simply: Nolan is a hack when it comes do direct fight scenes. Period.

I loved the editing in Batman Begins. I have no idea what you people are complaining about unless you want Batman to long like a Kung-fu movie.

Well, it would be WAY better. I saw Kung Fu movies from the 70's that are way grittier than Nolan's Chicagotham.

That I hate Nolan's Batsuit, I don't see anything even remotely batmanistic on the Tumbler, BB's Gotham was a pretty lame and visually unappealing city, and any kung fu movie from the 70's is leaps and bounds better, action-wise, than any american movie ever made.

well what are you doing on a site about the sequel to a movie you hate!
