Ah yes, New Year's Eve. The time where everyone gathers together as a family to watch that traditional New Year's film, Ghostbusters II.
Peter Wyngarde as JASON KING....this is who Austin Powers is based on.

I first saw him as Jason King back in the early 70's in the TV show DEPARTMENT S (a sort of fore-runner for THE X FILES)....when I saw the movie FLASH GORDON I knew him instantly from his voice....it wasn't until decades later I found out he had had his own show called JASON KING (I found the complete DVD set at a Dollar Store for around $10.00).And Claremont based Mastermind on him as well as the Hellfire Club from an episode of the British Avengers TV show. And of course he was in the 80's Flash Gordon, playing both Klytus and a Hawkman. Dude had a crazy great voice.
Enjoy mate!! Hope you make it home safely, or at least find a very comfortable ditch for the nightIt is approaching that time of the evening where I am about to embark upon drinking perhaps a little too much and eating similarly.
So in the event that I am unconscious at the midnight hour in the UK...
I should like to take this opportunity to wish all my fellow Hypesters a Happy New Year or whatever you like to refer to it as.
I shall see you all on the flip side...

I just had a great day with one of my college buddies who was driving through town on her way home. Now I shall be making some Bailey's french toast and spending a nice quiet New Year's Eve at home, which I'm looking forward to since I was just traveling home from visiting family myself over the weekend and haven't had any alone time in a while.Anyone have big plans for tonight? I'll be watching more Sherlock.![]()

Would a bottle of Wayne Gretzky's finest help you in this trying time? Then I'll be a dead man.
This naked attempt to deflect from calling GHOSTBUSTERS 2 a New Years film is beneath you Bri.Would a bottle of Wayne Gretzky's finest help you in this trying time?
Or you could do as others have, and mark the beginning of the new year by watching the CBS: All Access smash hit, Star Trek: Discovery. Colon.
Don't worry, I'm sure some Trek "purists" have already made it.There's a Herpes joke in there somewhere but I've too much class to make one.
They have, but they're also dumb. Especially since the shortform wouldn't be ST : D, it would be DIS, like Voyager was VOY and Enterprise was ENT. My logic is unassailable!Don't worry, I'm sure some Trek "purists" have already made it.
