According to the guy who scooped all the DC movie announcements before they were announced, the fights are better but the show is still bad.

Who is this now?
Looking at those gifs again, I'm guessing we won't see the mask for that long since it looks like they take them off at some point.
I won't take the word of the guy unless I know his opinion of other Marvel shows. Could just be a DC fan who wants to hate on Marvel because competition.
Given that he said Jessica Jones is his favorite show and the best thing to come out of Marvel, I find it unlikely that he'd hate Iron Fist just because competition. That's the sort of baseless speculation reserved for places like here, more like. Obviously him being more a fan of one wouldn't negate him being a fan of the other.
I mean, would it need to be someone like ComicBookCast2 for people to take their word?

They showed the whole fight scene at Comic-Con. They wear the masks. Fight for a bit. Lose them, and then they fight for quite longer.Looking at those gifs again, I'm guessing we won't see the mask for that long since it looks like they take them off at some point.
The fight supposedly lasts a long time. I think fair to say don't see the whole thing and it's interspersed throughout the episode. So we'll only have a snippet of them in the masks.
Well, I'll have to say I'm surprised to hear that there's a long fight. Not surprised that they lose the masks. I'll wait and see how that plays out. They showed the whole fight scene at Comic-Con. They wear the masks. Fight for a bit. Lose them, and then they fight for quite longer.
I wouldn't even take that guy at his word. I would need real and credible critics.
Well, which is it? You can't take him at his word because he's supposedly a DC fan or because he's not a real or credible critic?
From the writer of Elektra. I just honestly don't know what to expect. I'll be there for Colleen, but yeah.
I hated the Elektra movie. But Metzner has also worked as a writer and producer on other shows I have liked and thought were good in the past, such as Sleepy Hollow and Falling Skies. One stinker does not make someone into Kinberg.
David Benioff wrote the screenplay for Origins Wolverine, yet look how well HBO did to give him a chance.

I was also told the stunt and fight choreographers had more control over how fight scenes were shot and staged. I was told they didn't get MORE prep time, but they did get more creative control on the fight scenes.
Well, I like the first two or three seasons of Sleepy Hollow before it kinda got derailed IMO.
I like Sleepy Hollow. Haven't seen the other one.
Happy to hear about the stunt and fight coordinators getting more control of their stuff. I hope it fixes the issues from the previous season.
Again, willing to give him a chance here since he's the showrunner of Iron Fist now.Films and TV are a collaborative medium being a writer on a bad product doesn't mean all the problems were his fault. Sometimes a writer writes a great script and then it's torn apart by studios, directors, and even actors. Typically speaking, the quality of a film is mostly depended on Directors for movies and show runners for tv shows. Even then their ability can be hindered by the studio/network making demands. And sometimes writers take projects they're not passionate in just for the paycheck.
Plus show runners don't write all the episodes, there's a team of writers working at it. Half their job is writing but the other half is making sure the production runs smoothly. Sometimes a show runner may not write an episode for the whole season. As far as writing is concern their main priority is overseeing the creative direction of the season.
I know there's a documentary on Netflix called Show Runner that really goes into their responsibilities.
Basically, the fact he was a writer for Elektra doesn't indicate a thing.
Any chance you know when/if youll be getting screeners for this? Not for spoilers, just to ask if its good or not.Again, willing to give him a chance here since he's the showrunner of Iron Fist now.
It's the same chance I gave Scott Buck.
