Does anyone else think that in the new TV-Spot (link: www.superherohype.com ) when someone says "It's you and me then" its sounds what u'd imagine Ironhide to sound like judging from his design and description as an aged, hardened war veteran.

Just what I thought... Cause I don't think it sounds like Cullen... Soooo yeah, what do you think?

I'm saying I think it is Ironhide, but that does not nessacerily mean it is him.

There was leaked footage awhile back where people first saw Optimus's "fish lips" and heard him speak. The voice back then was reported to be Cullen but sounded much deeper than how he normally voiced Prime...so it could possibly be Cullen.

Well obviously Cullen will sound different in this movie compared to the animated series, all they have done is deepen his voice, IMO both voices you heard belong to Prime.

This is correct, it was confirmed to NOT be Cullen's voice. It was a fill in.

Bay told the press that it wasn't but it turned out to be the real deal. that was Cullen's voice in the unreleased trailer. i can't find the source, but there are several regulars here who'll back me up on this.

Really? Man, what a bunch of freakin liars. Him and the producer, Don Murphy, have been doing that s***t for almost two years. It's disgusting.

yeah...when they lie it really makes them look bad. i would rather they do what they're gonna do with the franchise as long as they don't lie about what they're doing.

i think the reason Bay lied about Prime's voice and the footage in that trailer is because of fan backlash. remember? that's when everyone found out about Prime's lips and everyone started complaining that Prime's voice was too deep...

It ceases to amaze me that when someone is strongly for something, they'll believe anything they see and here that supports their idea.
So, regardless of whether this is true or not, it's a catch-22.

Fans riot over Prime's deep voice, yet it's the very same voice the wanted all along... It's impossible to please to purists.

I agree as well, I was never a huge fan of the comic books or the cartoon. I just want to have fun. I loved the SM cartoon when I would come home from school, but that didn't ruin my time going to see SM 1 in the theaters.

Me too. And I agree. My problem is that the story is stupid. After all, webbing is one thing, but you wouldn't want Spidey in the movie to devote his life to a magical orb... or wear a flame patterned sequin Sigfried and Roy suit for that matter.

What if they completely changed the core of the story, Jameson LOVES Spidey. There's a SPIDEY-SIGNAL spotlight they use to call him. The whole world loves Mutants in X-Men and there's none of that gray prejudice deep social commentary crap going on?
