I have a good feeling about her in this role. The "dick-measuring" line was terrible. It sounds like a desperate, forceful attempt to establish Lois as "Miss Independent" and for that reason, it's cringeworthy. Any heavy-handed dialogue like that is hard to execute.
Have to say...so far, the only problem with this revived thread are not from the people sharing criticisms, but from posters making lame jokes and digs about the more critical posters.
Which is weird, because all they have to do is stay out of this particular thread.
The great thing about Terrio is that he balanced the multiple characters in Argo wonderfully. They felt developed without having to delve too much into their backgrounds. That's the key to making a great ensemble film IMO, and that's why a film like Watchmen is unbalanced. The dense backstories serve as character development, sure, but within the context of a film, it hinders the pace of the narrative. You should be able to develop multiple characters without devoting so much time to their individual backstories.
It does add a more novel-esque quality to Watchmen though.
It count as a terribly stupid moment, it's one line I can easily on how terrible it is
"Hi, I'm this guy", "and I'm that guy"
"Men introducing themselves to a woman they meet for professional reasons = measuring d***s"
Terio has one screenplay credit. He won an Oscar for it but still, that script was cheesy as hell and so was the movie.
Frankly nothing in this movie inspires confidence. Since the day Affleck has been announced, it has been disastrous all the way.
Like not one decision they have made has inspired confidence.
^ a bit pessimistic don't you think?
Yeah, but I don't recall anyone labeling Terrio's writing as cheesy, and then hating on this project even more because of it. He may have been sarcastic, I couldn't tell.Isn't that pretty much the theme of this thread?
