Superman Returns Is anyone else worried about the lack of flying shots ?

We will have plenty of flyng people... Its Superman. Flying is his main mode of transport.


I would like to see Superman catch a bus though...

Okay I should have said in comparison to what you have seen recently like in the Matrix and stuff sorry dude

It's in the eye of the beholder. Many people would say the that computer generic effects of the Matrix trilogy were overdone without artistic quality, and grace, and simply robotic. It's the dangers of CG overload (main problem with the Matrix movies) and bad acting. It's why people prefer the old real models and special effects in the original Star Wars to George Lucas's 3D versions even though on the onset, it may seem more attractive, it soon becomes unpalatable.

We've only seen a few minutes of actual film footage, how can anyone complain about that there isn't enough flying shots, we've hardly seen anything of this movie yet!!

What I really want is amazing flying shots,like for example, when supes flies superfast(superspeed) we see a blur basically,well instead of that everytime he's flying really fast, we could have a shot in which we see buildings passing by really fast and blurry,but we see supes from behind (fullbody shot showing boots and everything) and the cape flapping, and have supes weaving up and down and banking.And in the same shot have him suddenly fly low, flying on top of taxi cabs and other cars and then go up again and pass in between buildings,this could be a six or seven second shot or even less,but try to picture it,that's what Iam talking about when I say spectacular showing supe's speed and grace while he flies.

Yean I know but what I mean is that instead of all the time seeing it from that point of view it could be different, imagine that you could fly as fast as supes,okay imagine you are following him as he flies and you're actually shooting a video of him as he flies and since you can fly also you can follow him with your camera,follow all his movements if you know what I mean, that's the kind of shot I was describing, of course it would be cgi, but if the digital double looks good then it would look great.

Nah. I ain't worry about the lack of flying shots. From what we seen so far, there will be plenty of flying shots. Don't worry, folks.

Honestly, I am a bit worried.

But we will 20 minute plane sequence and earthquakes with New Krypton, so I think it will looks awesome.

One problem is that if Singer ended post-production, we have got this bad landing, so this shot will be in film.

I hope we have some cool flying shots in the EQ scenes I wanna see supes flying above metropolis as NK rises from the ground,not just fast flying but more of the epic spectacular flying.
