Is it just me, or does this movie seemed OVER CRAMMED?

After two exstremely successful spider-man films; The biggest and most popular superhero franchise out there (and well deserved, I might add!), I dont think we should speculate too much. Raimi and the team surdently deserves to go wild on this one! Raimi knows what he's doing. And Spidey 3 doesn't feel crammed at all, what kind of BS is this anyway?!? Sandman is the main baddie! Harry will have some interaction with Peter, and then VENOM will be in the last fight sequence. That means there's conflict between Pete and Harry. There's Eddie Brock playing a part in the film, and then there's Sandman as the baddie! We will be introduced to Gwen Stacy as well, but Peter needs a chick to play hardball for, when that symbiote takes him over:)

I'm not critizising the two first films, cause God knows I love them to death!! But spidey 3 really feels to have A LOT more "meat" on it, then the previous ones did. There's the whole conflict with the alien-symbiote, giving Peter an inner challenge. There's Sandman as the major baddie. There's the hating Eddie Brock, and last but not least Pete's new love interest Gwen Stacey. Too much? I dont think so, it's just so freaken cool! This film seems waaay bigger in scope then the others, and I for the life of me can't ****ing wait to see it!!!

Bottom line:
This film doesn't seem "crammed", it doesn't feel rushed (it's 3 years in the making for christs sake. One more year then the previous in production time). It has about 50 million dollars more in the bag then number 2. It has an even stronger story then number 2. It has the same wonderful team AND more added. The movie will be around 2:30-2:40. Not to mention that they're using a totally new developed computer system for the CG (that didn't even exist when they started filming this thing). If anything "Spider-Man 3" will have had the most care to make it work. It shows already!
i totally agree with you!!!!!:yay:.

It will all depend on the story. A movie like X-Men didn't seem too crammed, but it was written for an ensemble of characters, but then look at Batman & Robin where, not only did they have too many characters, but there was no point to bring them in! (they created Bane just to show muscle growth and then it caused Ivsley to change into a plant lady? Wha..?)

Batman & Robin would have still been terrible even if it only had one villain, I think.

Yes it would have been. But, they can't have Batgirl and Robin in it. Just how i think putting Black Cat in the Spider-man movie franchise would ruin it.

yeah....I agree with the main points, mainly because the original Spider-man's had strong topics of Peter and MJ, if they make this movie more of an action film, much like the 3rd Matrix, I think it won't be crammed at all. Unless you think Matrix 3 was crammed, than that's an entirely different story.:wow:

It wasnt the villians that sucked, it had poor choice of acting. It should have focused on Batman and the villians. It should not have had Robin and Batgirl in it.
How about every aspect of the film sucked anus.

Yes it did...it did indeed. It was an over the top cheeseball of a film.

Indeed, it was a cheeseball of a film that sucked on the anal region. :dew:

well theres way 2 many villains, venom should be getting more screen time than they are giving him.

The lovey dovey aspect of the first two films was a bit lengthy, and did drag at times but made the arrival of the action scenes all the sweeter. I do want to see more action in this film but i don't want it to be one action scene after the other. That kinda film making worked for Blade 2 (which i love btw) but if SM3 ends up being wall to wall action like Blade 2 was then it will kill the continuity, and the kind of pacing set by the first two films...

it sure would, the movie was terrible no matter what.

Maybe the film is crammed for a good reason, like a pizza pop is crammed with peperoni, pizza sauce and cheese, nobody whines about that.

Matrix reloaded had more action than Matrix revolution and I neither movie was crammed at all. Especially because each was atleast 2hours:30 min

It feels to me that this movie is crammed with as much stuff as the film makers can possible get into it, with no end in sight. They seem to be pulling out all the stops when it comes to adding in several villans, sub-stories, characters and now this 'movie within a movie' rumor.

Do you guys think they're doing this because this might possibly be the last Spidey movie made, within the Tobey Macguire continuity?
It feels that way to me.

I really hope this apparent over-kill of content doesn't backfire on them. Sometimes 'less is more' when it come to quality.
I agree with you - it seems like they're trying too hard to be grandiose and epic.

Last time I remembered Sam didn't direct that movie so don't think it will be of same quality.

Lots of Characters, multiple story lines, multiple villans, with the hope it will work out...Hmm. I beleive it has worked before.

remember in the teaser trailer, how it said, "the ultimate battle, lies within, 3", thats why there are that many villians in this movie, its not over crammed.

^Fantastic Film BTW!

It ultimately doesn't matter how many characters/villains and plots/subplots you have in a film, it's HOW YOU WORK THEM OUT that matters.

Spider-Man 3 will be just fine.

your right, its how you fit the characters and origins into one movie:yay:.

It dependson movie length. x-men has multiple villians. Its just how the script length plays out over x amount of minutes. I will be disappointed if this movie isn't 2:30-3 hours

Yea i believe it seems to be crammed because of all the characters we know are in the film and the basic plot that we know. I think if the movie is 2hr 30min-3hr range it will be fine because then they have enough time for plot and all the characters but if it is only 2hrs- 2hr 10min like the first two movies it could be to crammed and things rushed a bit. Here is hoping it is in the 2hr 30min + range.

I just hope this dumb rumour "movie within a movie" isn't true :(

And I think there is too much action in the movie, which also won't work.
