Well, it seems over time SHH! is starting to incorporate more movies and various information onto the main site. It seems it is swaying away from its superhero origins and becoming too much like Comingsoon. Does anyone agree? Are you shocked to see top news stories and exclusives like AVP, Hancock, DragonBall Z, etc... Is it for endorsement money and deals like the James Bond board not too long ago? What is happening to SHH! and is it for the best?

My bad.

Hancock is a Superhero Film. I dont know why the other movies would be listed, it goes against the grain.

AVP-R has nothing to do with Superheroes How Dare They!!!

:whatever:

I feel like Superhero films are just one branch of the sci-fi movie tree, and while movies like AVP-R are not exactly superhero, they do often attract the same fans as superhero movies. also, just using AVP-R as a specific example, both aliens and predators have been featured in comic books. Same could be said about speed racer and cartoons. While they may not be super strict with stories they post, i dont mind because i still read them.

We'll cover whatever we want, damnit! No, seriously, we do ask ourselves what fits and doesn't fit. We generally concentrate more on comic book and graphic novel properties, but original stuff is welcome sometimes as well, for example Hancock, which is definitely about a superhero.

Indeed, Hancock is really a superhero movie.

Comic/superhero films tend to attract much of the same crowd that certain sci-fi, action, fantasy and even some horror properties do. I can see why films like Speed Racer, Transformers, James Bond or the Narnia films would be featured. (PS I Love You.... not so much... :oldrazz:) Much like Comic Con, SHH! seems to cover much of the same ground. Makes sense to me.

Indeed. I think it looks pretty entertaining actually.

SHH! doesnt post often, but when it does, you betta watch yourself!

It's all the same demographic, so I don't see it as an issue.

^ i get the joke.....but its not very funny....

:woot: *hides giggles in spoiler tag* :woot:

So does this site get money for posting news about AVP-R or DragonBallZ? I didn't know Hancock was a superhero movie...I watched the trailer, looks ok.

I just think this site is trying to become more mainstream and appeal to a wider audience than kids and guys living in their parent's basements...which I guess isn't a horrible thing but does it come at a price I ask?

once we see news about the upcoming Sex in the City Movie, or the next Hilary Duff flick...we'll know somethings wrong...

*Pan's into Mirko's dungeon...

Mirko is writing a news story over High School Musical 3, the sounds of tortured n00bs echo through the halls, and he sees your post and deletes it very quickly:boba:

NOOBIE PURGE FTW!! :cmad: :lips:
I am all for it:boba:

Or SHH! needs to become an exclusive club where membership is $10 or picking up after Dog Lips in the park with those damn plastic baggies.

Hancock is a superhero movie. DBZ is a manga (Japanese comic). So...no.

to paraprase an old line
one man's slasher character is another man's super-hero

Once we get a Starbucks, then we will be too diluted and there will be no going back.
