Apocalypse Is X-men: Apocalypse considered a success sales-wise?

I wonder if Fox had any idea that the film would be slaughtered critically. It was an oddly confident move in hindsight.

This. It made money. Fox are obviously plowing ahead with the franchise. Dark Phoenix next year is their chance to 'right the wrongs' of TLS. Those'll be some interesting comparisons to read in the reviews. And I want to see Olivia Munn's Psylocke back at some point!
