Comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Part 2

As a Sunny fan, I'm glad that they were able to incorporate the Eagles winning the Super Bowl into the show but as a Giants fan, I have to also roll my eyes. :o
But I still hate the Eagles less than I hate the Patriots, so it is what it is.

Those first three episodes of the season were not a good representation of what would follow this season, cause I just binge watched the following 3-4 and lost my ****. Mac and Charlie beating the crap out of those kids had me screaming.

That ending was powerful enough to make me forgive them for the sight of Rickety Cricket in a leather harness.

I was really affected by the season 12 finale when Dennis was getting ready to say goodbye to his son. When he hugged him, there was a split-second moment where you could see that Dennis didn't want to let go. It's funny because after years of Dennis being a depraved, awful human being, this moment didn't feel inauthentic at all. Howerton executed it perfectly.

When these guys want to get serious, it really hits close to home.

that was outstanding. devitos expressions took it home and goddamn rob is a beast.

So do gay people normally come out to their parents through the power of interpretive dance? Jokes aside, pretty good finale. Frank stuffing his nose with various food items in an attempt to help feels very much like a Charlie-inspired idea. And interesting bit of info- the float used in the show was apparently the same one that the cast rode on in the gay pride parade.

All in all, this was definitely one of the most innovative seasons of Always Sunny. Whether it was the Time's Up episode, the "clip show," the two Super Bowl episodes, the Escape Room, 13 seasons in and the show still found a way to keep itself fresh while also paying homage in various ways to what came before.

I just loved the juxtaposition of how grotesque Frank was looking in the episode compared to the beautiful dance sequence at the end. All in all, this was a great season of Sunny.

I understand why Glen wasn't in the last 3 episode but I just think it would've been better for Mac's best friend to be one who helps him come out to his dad. But still a very good episode and a very good season. However they should've brought back Carmen for this as well.

I thought using Frank was pretty poignant actually. Mac wanted a relationship with his dad. And while he ultimately never got one with Luther, in the end he received support from the closest thing to a real father he ever had.

Dennis is too conceited, selfish and sociopathic to think about anyone but himself so I feel like he wouldn’t have cared much. Frank, for all his faults, has been shown to care about others. For example, the episode where Charlie and Mac faked their deaths and Frank was absolutely devastated to the point where he started carrying the Charlie dummy everywhere he went.

That was a great finale. Normally I roll my eyes at interpretive dance but they actually made that work. The Philly gang can be the most awful people on the planet but they still know how to pull off a show.

Fantastic finale. I never thought Always Sunny would reduce anyone to tears but that dance was genuinely moving and had my fiance bawling. They really are at the top of their game 13 seasons in.

Loved the season and the finale. I had to look up that song they used, it's really beautiful.

It's also "funny" seeing how many people don't "get it." People saying "this isn't my Sunny," or claiming they're done with the show because the creators are putting "politics" into it...

Too bad Dennis wasn't in the last 3 episodes, but I guess he was filming that other show. Still better than no Dennis at all

I’ve been watching reruns on Vice and it just makes me miss this show so much. Can’t wait for the new season. Hopefully Dennis is in all the episodes this season.

Now, I can know what season the show is going into and I can know the year that the show premiered, but nothing really hits me like realizing the core four were in their twenties during the first season, and now...

Solid premiere. Makes sense that Mac would try his hand at a romantic comedy scenario after Lethal Weapon 5 didn't exactly win any praise. Also, after that promise, I hope we actually do see Alexi and Nikki return to Frank and Charlie in the next season.

Just remembered another great moment, when Dee's on her 'Ra-rah women' moment, she starts off saying that men don't get to tell women what to do, but right before she can even finish her sentence, we immediately cut to the next scene.

That had to be intentional, especially considering that Glenn Howerton himself directed this episode. Either way, it was funny as hell to me.

The discovery that Tommy being that couples’ dead son was hilarious. Thought it was a pet at first
