Comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Part 2

Has Dee got some work done on her face? I could be wrong but it looked like that to me

Have you seen The Mick? The amount of damage Dee's face has taken led to her getting some things done before she returned to Paddy's Pub.

The moral of the story is that piracy wins. Also, nice that we got not one, but two F-bombs in a single episode. I don't think that's happened before as far as I remember. One, sure, but not two.

I can’t seem to recall them airing uncensored f-bombs before this season.

Either way, I thought last night’s episode was better than the premiere, which was still solid.

They've done it for, I believe, two seasons now at least since they've been on FXX. One example would be when Mac showed off the exercise bike and Dee described it as Mac f****** himself with a d****.

2 for 2 with me. I thought this episode was great too. Loved the social satire as obvious as it was, but they made it funny

Not to be rude but I noticed it too. I've also noticed a bit with Glenn Howerton

I noticed it more with Dee. For Glenn it just looks like he's getting older.

Yeah Dee kind of has that "botox look" now. It doesn't really fit the fictional character and the tone of the show if none of the guys are going to say something about it... They're always commenting on her looks, but I get that this is a complicated situation. It would be funny though if they just make it part of the story, like when Mac was fat

Well, for everyone who said it looked like Glenn Howerton had some stuff done on his face hopefully had some fun with Dee Day tonight and Dee asking Dennis to take off his concealer.

Loved this episode, especially Frank in drag.

I thought Dee Day was fine. It wasn't the best of the gang's named episodes (Nothing can top Charlie Work) but it wasn't their worst episode by far either.

So what takes longer: Charlie's attempts at speeches or Dee's stories?

The subtle touch of Frank spitting on the glass at the Gorilla exhibit made me chuckle more than it should have. Also everyone peeing on Mac, well, aside from Dee.

The peeing on Mac to make him submissive was funny. In the same why is Mac slowly becoming Charlie who can read and Charlie slowly becoming Mac who can't read.

this season has kind of sucked

Yup. I think it's time to end it. As much as I love these actors and characters the well has run dry. When even the episodes written by the gang start to suck there's something wrong. The last true streak of great episodes was back in season 12.

The cast clearly wants to move on to other things, so it feels like they're only sticking around out of a sense of obligation to what they've created. I haven't really enjoyed much of this season or the last. This season in particular has felt really soulless. Like they're trying to rehash some of their greatest hits, but with zero energy behind it.

Still, hell of a run though.

I feel the exact opposite and have found this season to be a strong season so far. I’ve laughed consistently throughout each episode so far.

I thought the first episode and the most recent one were kind of weak but everything in between has been fine IMO. But I do think we're nearing the end. I can see them wrapping it up with one or two more seasons.

That Noir episode is easily one of the most creative things Always Sunny has ever done. Was really hoping to see Artemis- I just feel she'd be perfect for this sort of episode.

I don't care for creative if it isn't funny. This episode was well shot, but where was the humor? I don't come to Always Sunny for these weird concept episodes. And this comes from someone who loves Frank's Brother.

I too have not enjoyed this season that much. Sunny before this season used to constantly make me laugh, but now they get a chuckle out of me every now and then. Past seasons episodes could also hold up better for repeat viewings. I think I watched the gang goes to the water-park like 10 times after it came out. Most of this season's episodes I wouldn't watch again. It sounds crazy but this season the gang hasn't been as weird or neurotic enough for me.

That being said, I still enjoy the show, and hope the last few episodes step it up.
