What I like about this Thing is that he LOOKS like he could go toe to toe with the likes of the Hulk and Thor, he looks unstoppable and imposing which, despite liking the actor in the role, the old one didn't.
If giving them face time is because the actor wants his/her face onscreen for a good amount of time, then find another actor.
I don't, however, think that that is this particular actors problem, and his looks as full on human are not what got him this job, so I would venture to say he will spend a good amount of time as Thing, unless they are going to be cheap on his cgi as well.
Agreed.....and I actually liked the actor a lot less after his commentary from the first movie. He came off as a whiney little actor, and that turned me off of Chiklis in a big way.

The poster shows off his behemoth size well too
What did he whine about?
I didn't really take notice of that, I just liked his performances in the movies, but this Thing actually looks imposing and something that could take on other heavy hitters from other movies.
HE WAS THE ONE, that wanted a suit rather than mostly cgi, HE WANTED the suit the entire time instead of mostly cgi....HE SAID he would not take the role unless it was a suit with him in it......and then went on to bellyache about it throughout the commentary.
So, my thought was........careful what you wish for, you may get it, and when you do, shut up and take it.
I am one of those fans that are very much respectful of those that do their own stunts, and I favor actors that do just that.....but, I DO NOT like it when they ***** about them. THAT, I do not respect.
Ah yes I remember now, but I still liked him in the role. But they have done the right thing this time in making the Thing CGI.
I thought he was perfect for the role, had the voice down etc....but the suit looked horrible...and there was absolutely nothing menacing about him at all.
Thing seems pretty large in modern FF too.Well, actually they are using more from UFF, and he is much, much larger than everyone else in the UFF series.
Not a big fan of UFF, just not my cup of tea...
not mine either - I was of course referring to the real FF - the Kirby FF...
