I'm looking forward to this. I hope the boy is Ibn al Xu'ffasch.
I'd like to buy a vowel.

How many kids are out there?

Starman/Jack Knight's kid.
Manhunter's kid (and possibly Al Pratt's great grandson)
Lian, Arsenal's daughter.
Batman's kid.
Flash/Wally's twin kids.
Helena, Catwoman/Selina's daughter.

There are a couple of other ones that are teenagers or a bit older already. Damn! If the Darkseid from our century got his hands on these kids and pulled a Validus on them they would make for a very interesting Injustice League. Hmmm, I like it!:)

I have no problem with Batman having a son.
People want their characters frozen in an eternal adolescence but characters need to grow and evolve otherwise they lose interest.

Being a husband and a father can be part of that evolution, so why not?

It just depends on the quality fo the writer that will handle such issues.

I dont have as much faith in Morrison as others do to pull this off.

I figure it will be well written, I just don't like what he's writing about.

Batman #656, written by Morrison with art by Andy Kubert. “Batman and Son” tells the story of an uncomfortable meeting between Robin and Batman’s newfound son.

sighs.. :(

It's not true it can't be true.

In DARTH VADER's voice NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!!

I just equate it to a sitcom jumping the shark and bringing the cute kid to try to save face.

My problem with this is Talia al Ghul [The daughter of Ra's al Ghul ]. I would have no problem if the child belong to Selina, because if anyone Bruce should marry it should be Selina Kyle .

Not Talia .

The problem is, none of that even applies to Batman. He's not frozen in adolescence, he's evolving right before our eyes from the obsessive, vengeful bastard he was before IC to the more relaxed, less paranoid man who'll give second chances that he is now. He's also already a father, at least twice over. One of his sons turned out great, the other turned out bad. Seems like they've covered most of the father/son angles already with Dick and Jason, doesn't it? The reason I'm apprehensive about the new arc is because it seems headed straight for rehash territory. I'll be reading this first arc of Batman, at least, because if anyone can pull it off, it'll be Morrison. It's just a tough sell, even for Morrison.

Bruce really loves Selina, {She brings out the best in Bruce.}

He doesn't really love Talia the same way he loves Selina .

Also, Talia seems a little too psycho to be a decent mom.

Great stories need conflicts. Decent moms and true loves aren't wellsprings for conflict.

Exactly!

I don´t want fairytales in my make-believe-land, superheroes shoudl be flawed and have flawed relationships.

They shouldn´t be perfect, their relationships shouldn´t be perfect.

Average Joe looks at a Superman story and it´s instant snooze, Lois and Clark hanging around the house playing couple is boring.
REALLY boring.

I´d HATE to see Bruce and Selina married happily ever after, even if ideallistically they belong to each other.

...Yes, he is. He's pretty much a traumatized man-child who never grew up who now uses his resources and ability to beat up criminals to make up for not saving his parents on that one night when they were lost forever.

Are you even reading DC titles? Hes not like that anymore since after the Crisis, Joe Chill has been caught as his parents killer. One of the main reasons hes much nicer now.

false. he became batman to prevent it from happpening to others. and bruce was never traumatized, he became vengeful. and how did he never grew up? it makes him more of man then any of us, to do what he does. and im pretty sure if your parents were shot right in front of you you'll be traumatized as well,so that point is moot.
