Did not like him as JJJ.

Get someone with actual hair, and who is more bitter/angry.

Most importantly, someone who actually looks a bit like JJJ would be nice.

Keep Simmons. For the love of GOD DO NOT RECAST THAT MAN.

He's perfect, one of the best parts of the old series. And all these people saying that you have to recast everyone for it to be a reboot obviously haven't watched Casino Royale, which currently happens to be one of the best reviewed Bond movies out there, so I think keeping Simmions would be just fine.

He actually did. I mean, for having such a limited written role that kept him doing comedy and that's it. Raimi's Jameson had no story or personality beyond the caricature, and yet Simmons kept him entertaining and attractive.

I cant think of anybody better than Simmons for JJ. My only wish,whatever happened to the franchise, was for him to stay on.

I would still like to see him with his obnoxious and abusive (yet hilariously funny) manners towards his staff. But slso a mysterious side,hiding a ruthless streak and contempt towards Spider-Man,because of a past tragedy. We saw dislike in the movies,but not HATE.

But you mentioned tragedy, I don't know how the actual comics did it, but I think in the 90's comics he hated Spider-Man because he concealed his identity. Because in the past, he lost his wife because of a masked crook.

Thats right. When he was younger, Jonah printed a story about a mob boss,when he was warned not to. He was walking home with his wife and a masked man appeared and his wife was shot in a drive-by. He was badly affected by it,its partly a reason for his hatred for Spider-Man.

I'm definitely a backer of bringing JK back. He was excellent in the role, and they will have a hard time trying to fill in his shoes. It can be done, but I think Simmons would be nice to bring back.

He had a scene with Spider-Man in S1, but I agree they should have had more together.

I actually think William Hurt would be a good choice.
