This was entertaining, I'd say 7 - 8 / 10, there were some areas the could have been better but overall definitely going to get the dvd when it comes out. The ending was really well done.
As I said before and I'll say again - WB were complete morons with the release date. You have people putting this side by side with Oz - it was never going to do well with that because if you can only afford to see one, they'd opt with Oz since it's an already pre-established franchise. It would have done much better in a different release date, and frankly - I don't see any logic behind this decision at all. I don't see its performance saying anything about the film itself and more about the lack of regard Warners, for whatever reason, showed towards it. So, I wouldn't say it's a "John Carter" -- that film just didn't catch on, but it had very open seas ahead of it with not a lot of competition. Here, I'd say competition is a strong part of the reason why it didn't do better.
Also I kinda doubt Oz is going to get in "lame" reviews since the word so far has been abundantly positive about it.
