What do you guys think? While watching Watchmen I couldn't stop thinking about how perfect he would be. Regardless of the how likely you feel Carnage will be in the movie, what do you think about the actor choice?

He would defentielyu be an awesome choice, IMO. However, I do think Robert Knapper (I think that's his name) would make a great Cletus as well.

Good choice. I think they're making a Venom movie. If Carnage is the villain, then maybe they could get Jackie to do it.

You know, as much as I hate having it (whenever a new, highly-anticipated movie gets released and fanboys from other films start naming off cast members to play the role of the villain/hero), this could work out fine. As much as I'm sick of hearing people say: "Carnage should be in the fourth film", I really don't think I'd mind, as long as I know that his character is there to complete the story and not just added in for ----s and kicks. If they just simply through the symbiote into the third film and got rid of all the extra camp and (lack thereof) character development, we would've had a great film, right next to 'Spider-Man 2'. So, once again, I hope that if they throw Carnage in the mix that it's going to be for something that will make this film more than just your average "popcorn entertainment, midday matinee" movie.

That would be an awesome choice. Robert worldn't be a bad choice either but Jackie's just in a big stride right now with Little Children and Watchmen, and later the Scorsese film Shutter Island.

Carnage should be played by someone younger.
Jackie Earle Haley and Robert Knepper both look too old to play Carnage.
Let's not change the age appearances of their characters, like what they did to Venom from Spiderman 3. And look what happened.
And for a Venom movie, they better use someone older and who looks like Eddie Brock, not the guy from that 70's show.

What happened? SM 3 was the highest grossing Spidey flick to date. :yay:

Yes, and also Venom was the greatest villain in comic book movie history.

Yeah, look real closely where it says "worldwide". :yay:
I know, but a lot of film studios don't look to "Worldwide" stats when making sequels. They look to the domestic totals, that's where my point originated from:cwink:

Doesnt matter what Joe fanboy thinks. All that matters to Sony is the bottom Line.

True.
Also, Sony should use Carnage in Spiderman 4.
Have Lizard and Electro as the main villains, and add Carnage in there, just like what happened to Spiderman 3, and that will make fanboys insane. But after all, all we're getting will be 5 minutes of screen time by Carnage near the end of the movie.
Yep, Sony should definitely use Carnage in Spiderman 4.
Just do marketing heavily focused on Carnage (again, just like Venom in Spiderman 3) and they'll again earn tons of money.

So you're saying they don't count all their profit?

Riiiight. :woot:

Tbh, I say save Carnage for the Venom film.

I know Carnage won't be in Spiderman 4 and possibly never as long as Sam Raimi is director because he likes Morbius and hates Venom and Carnage.
And my point was, yes they should save Carnage for Venom film.

Great choice for looks, but I'm not sure that he could pull off kassidy's insanity like he did with Ror.

Oh guys, what are Carnage threads doing in a forum for a movie directed by Sam Raimi? He's not going to touch the symbiotes if he can help it. They practically had to put a gun to his head to use Venom.

Let it go :cwink:

*Splutter of laughter*

HAHAHHAHAHHA at Venom being the greatest comic book villian. HAHAHA.

Hes not even really in Spideys top 3.

People love to act like Venom was some sort misjustice in SM3, like they had a character with the popularity or potential of The Joker and messed it up, Venom for a LONG time even in the comics was a one dementional character. Just a step up from Carnage, who is even lower, but both are great fun to watch destory things.

I really didn't mind Venom's time or useage in the film, cause really, hes fun to look at, brings a nice conflict, but all and all, he will never be up to the standards of a Goblin or Doc Ock.

But on topic, i never thought about it, but JEH kinda has that Kasady vibe, if for nothing else, but just use him AS Kasady, as this crazy serial killer.

Agreed with all that.
