And you open the next film with her death? That's one hell of an opener for a Bond film and could totally work.

That was the original plan for the PTS of Diamonds are Forever. But when Laz had his thing they decided to instead film it as OHMSS's ending like in the novel.

If so, Lea is evoking Tracy more and more.

Just a matter of when she'll meet her untimely death

I hate to be THAT guy but her teeth are a bit off. Sorry it's the first thing I noticed!

Does anyone know if they are in costume for the photocall? If so, it is a little unfortunate to see Bond wearing a Canada Goose coat. They are the universal symbol of *****ebaggery on Canadian university campuses.

Sometimes they just wrap actors in coats like that inbetween shoots so they don't get cold. Not sure if this is the case here

Drax: I am better
Bond: at what?
Drax: Everything

Of note: James Bond is now Public Domain... in Canada.

Unless they TOTALLY want to change the playing field like Nolan did with "The Dark Knight Rises"

Bond drives off with the girl and gives up the spy life. No death. Starts a family.

New Bond actor starts fresh
Yeah, lets reboot the series for every new actor. Let's do that!

Yeah, that's why I was asking. I was wondering if there was any reports of them wearing the same clothes during filming. However, Craig and Seydoux's outfits are a little too well coordinated for just warmth between shots. Usually, the coat sticks out from the rest of what the actor is wearing like Craig's heavy coat over his suit during the filming of the Whitehall action for Skyfall. Now that the OHMSS screens have been posted comparing Madeleine's outfit to Tracy's in OHMSS, I noticed that Craig's outfit bears a strong resemblance to Lazenby's bright blue ski suit as well. Interesting...

I doubt Craig or any sensible adult for that matter gives two ****s what a bunch of college teens think about a practical jacket. As someone who works outside in sub freezing temps I can tell you that fashion and the opinions of a bunch of kids quickly becomes irrelevant in sub freezing temps.

I hope 007 does get back some of its old humour. If I wanted a more serious spy thriller I could just watch a John Le Carre movie adaption, which I don't want.

James Bond, Double Eh 7; He likes his pancakes, soft not burned.

"Uh, excuse me, Mr. Blofeld, sorry, Dr. Blofeld, if it's not too much trouble, could I get you to turn off your weather dominator? I'd appreciate it, thanks. Sorry to trouble you."

Well, the rest of the outfit Craig is wearing isn't very practical. The skinny jeans and bare hands don't exactly accord with a practical attempt to keep warm. I was mostly joking about the coat's connotations, but if one thinks about it seriously and Craig is in costume, then Craig may actually be wearing the Canada Goose jacket because it is what university(or college for you 'Muricans) students think is cool and trendy. A lot of the way Temime dressed Craig in Skyfall was very trendy and youthful and not really fitting for a professional man in his 30s or 40s (depending on who you ask). As a result, my characterization of Canada Goose jackets might be rather apt. :oldrazz:

Or how about it's just a nice photo of three actors during filming?

I have a question.
I've recently really gotten into Bond. I haven't seen a few of the flicks, and some I have when I was younger so Im basically watching them with fresh eyes. And I've come to the conclusion that Craig and Dalton are probably my favorite Bonds. (I love Connery too, because who doesn't?)
My question is, why do so many people dislike Dalton's Bond? I see so much hate for his portrayal. Is he not most like the source material?

He's a lot like the book Bond. However, there is a fairly large segment of the fanbase that prefers the movie Bond over the book Bond, or at least felt at the time that since the movies had been doing their own thing for so long that trying to go back to a more book-accurate Bond simply didn't work. Then you have the fact that Sir Roger Moore had played the role for a LONG time, and he has many fans. Or simply people prefer the more charming, funny, over the top ridiculousness of the Moore and later Connery films. Basically it's a taste issue, what type of Bond to you prefer? You ask different people, and you'll get different answers.

So essentially, it a number of different factors. Also, Dalton was simply ahead of his time in many ways. If he played the role now, as Daniel Craig has shown, then his take would probably be a lot more accepted (as Craig's largely is).

Dalton was ahead of his time. What Daniel Craig is doing now isn't too dissimilar to what Dalton was trying to do.

Dalton was also a stark contrast to what Roger Moore had been doing for years.

Yeah, it was an understandable shift. But I think where Craig succeeds where Dalton failed was Craig has the cold blooded bastard down pat but he also has that charm and humor that people can latch onto. Dalton, while there was no lack of humor in his films, when he was being humorous or in the humorous situations, he wasn't as charming at doing it.

So how does that work? Can a Canadian film company produce their own Bond flicks without permission from Eon?

Tanner- Hey sir. Sorry to bother you sir but Bond is deep trouble.

M- Alert the Canadian Air force and Navy.

Tanner- Right away sir.

Agreed. He was all fire, darkness, and intensity. His humorous scenes and one liners fell flat in the process.

Craig is also dark, intense, and gritty. But has moments of cool, calm, and non-chalant scenes, and he pulls off the humor and oneliners a lot better.

I have the feeling this next instalment will feel more like a 'classic bond' film.

Snow, Trains, Henchmen, Secret base etc and i truly hope this film ends with Bond happy and at peace - it will close the chapter really well.

But, for Craig to come back for one more where we see that Bobd has retired, living a modest, but exotic life.

Spectre come out and want revenge on Bond - how, hit him where it hurts, his wife. As someone said earlier, start off with him living a normal life, then boom, she is gone - we then see an emotionally ruined bond, he is out for revenge - the film climatic end could be bond saving the day, but it's not totally clear if he is alive.
