Raven said it all. The underwater stuff does go on for a bit too long, but for the time it was groundbreaking.

I do like the sequences that feature diving. They can be suspenseful and exotic. FYEO has some nice moments, and there's underwater action in AVTAK and TND. I would like to see another actually. Along with some skiing.

Man, it's a shame Connery became fat and old. Aging wasn't good to him. He never looked young, even in his earlier movies. He was still a good looking dude though.

So, I have no idea what time span the Grammys construct their categories from but Skyfall just won for best Song Written for Visual Media. I really don't know how that works considering the film was from 2012.

Personally I think he's goofy-looking as Bond and looks a lot better in, say, The Untouchables or Indiana Jones. The beard does something for him.

In Wrath of Kahn at least, they actually re-purposed quite a few of those long effects shots from the first film.

Before the 2009 movie, half the star trek movies were using props and scenes from previous star trek movies

Star trek Generations reused that exploding bird of prey scene from "The search for spock"


Die another day reused the missile launch from "tomorrow never dies"

Personally I think he's goofy-looking as Bond and looks a lot better in, say, The Untouchables or Indiana Jones. The beard does something for him.

Yeah, as much as I love Connery, the plucked eyebrows and toupee during his prime as Bond never looked quite right. They looked really artificial. Although the rest of him went to hell, I actually think the toupees and the eyebrows looked way more natural in YOLT and DOF.

Yes, Connery is the most unconvincing "Japanese" man in cinematic history. He's over six feet tall. He speaks Japanese with a Scottish accent. Seriously, you could be blind, deaf, and dumb and still tell that he's faking.

And non of the real Japanese characters bat an eyelid. lol. They just slapped a wig on him and he squinted a bit. I think it's same to say that you couldnt get away with that nowadays, not in a serious setting anyway.

The YNLT disguise is a bit of a running joke between my friends; funnily enough, we were only talking about it the other day.

I think they may just have a weird cut off. Almost all of the film scores nominated were from 2012, the latest from Great Gatsby in May of last year.

Thunderball is a top 11 favorite Bond film for me.
