I don't think that really mattered in the end. The Bond crew wanted a new direction and they went with it.

So after Bond 25, will Moneypenny, Q and M be recast?

No need. They can all carry over. I particularly want to see Whishaw's younger Q grow in the role.

The previous M's, Q, and Moneypenny's carried over even after the Bond actors changed. Heck, Desmond Llewelyn interacted with every Bond from Connery to Brosnan. Given this fact, I see no reason why Feinnes, Harris, and Whishaw can't carry over after Craig leaves (if they want to of course).

Yeah, they're not gonna lose Feinens, Whishaw and Harris. And really, because Bond movies (seemingly now) are coming out every 3 years, nobody has to go out of their way to fit Bond into their schedule since it's so lax.

I think the first 3 are fantastic, even though Connery is in a league of his own. Timothy and Roger were fine. As for Lazenby, I didn't really like him that much.

I have only seen the D.Craig bond films, I really want to check the others out. I call my self a movie buff yet the Bond films are the some of the only films I haven't seen that are huge.

I too had only seen the Craig movies before my marathon. The movies to me are much better having seen the originals. Like when Bond gets the Aston Martin in Skyfall, the first time I saw it, I thought it was cool. When I watched the originals, and then watched Skyfall again, that scene along with the Bond theme running gave me a hard-on.

The only Bond films I've seen beginning to end are Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, and Skyfall. The only ones I genuinely liked were Finger, Casino, and Skyfall; Skyfall I only watched once. Old school James Bond just really isn't that entertaining to me. It is like I have to force myself to enjoy it, putting in in historical film context.

I've watched the Bond films all my life, from a youngster to an adult. I've taped them off TV, owned the VHS, then the DVDS, and now all the Blu-rays. It is extremely rewarding going through that journey, because seeing those old films in Blu-ray is delightful.
