Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. James D' Arcy IS Jarvis

Do we have any idea what Mrs Jarvis is called?

And won't Mrs Jarvis eventually start thinking that Edwin is having an affair if he keeps sneaking out at night, especially when they are used to going to bed at 9.00 pm? If she hires a private detective to investigate, she'll soon find out that Edwin is frequently seen with Peggy Carter. The natural thing would be to conclude that he's having an affair with her rather than that he's helping out on a spy mission for Howard Stark.

Love Edwin Jarvis! Best character on the show by far. Really wasn't expecting him to be so much fun :)

she knows he regularly has to "clean up" Howard's escapades but eventually i think that when (if) it's made known that Howard is not in town and he's using him as an excuse, she would definitely become suspicious

He hasn't got a wife. He killed her 10 years ago and keeps her body locked in the attic. He sometime just dresses in womens clothes in order to fool people in thinking she's really alive.

Or maybe not.

Maybe it's his mother?

Cue screeching violins and attacking Hayley Atwell in the shower.

It would be nice if we never see her. Some classic British Tv series never used to show the wives. Just referred to them as, er indoors or she who must be obeyed. Lets the character moan about her and be under the thumb to a certain extent while still keeping a bit of mystery about the characters home life.

They did that all the time in Cheers (with Norm's wife) and in Frasier (with Niles's wife Maris). Also Columbo had a wife whom we never saw (apart from that spin-off TV series, Mrs Columbo starring Kate Mulgrew, which was later retconned to not be canonical or connected at all).

Forgot about those.

D'Arcy is brilliant as Jarvis and he shone even bright in Episode 3.

Really liking his character. It's going to be strange when Stark gets back, how the dynamic between the 3 of them works.

So Jarvis's wife is named Anna in this series?

I'm glad they're filling out his back story.

I think it's almost a shame we haven't had a proper human Jarvis in the Avengers and Iron Man movies. D'Arcy would've been just as good as AI Jarvis now that we see him. It would be good if he could have a cameo in AOU.

I hope we never see her. It's a fun throwback to old TV. Also loved the she stayed Jewish "thankfully" moment, such a heartfelt response given the time period.

And this

Carter: "My landlady gave me an idea"
Jarvis: "Oh splendid! Well, now if we can get an opinion from your butcher..."

Dayum Jarvis :funny:

Just watched season 2 of BBC's Broadchurch, and D'Arcy is great in it. Complete 180 from his character in Agent Carter.

Jarvis is one of the funniest characters in all of the MCU for me. Great actor and character.

I have a Jarvilous time with Jarvis. I liked the line of wanting to have a cane in one of the recent episodes. ...A cane with a sword in it.

So Jarvis is essentially the one who figured out how to close the Zero Matter breach using the gamma cannon on Stark's hovercar.

He had some heartfelt scenes after Anna was shot. It's understandable that he would want to kill Whitney Frost.

Have we seen the last of Jarvis though, if there's no season 3? It would be nice if an MCU movie has Tony Stark having a flashback to when he was a boy, with Edwin Jarvis looking after him.
