Jason Momoa is Aquaman! - Part 6

Unlike Diana, there's no reason for Arthur to have a foreign accent.

Also, given that people mostly know him from that role in which he has thick accent, that gives more reason for him to speak like he usually does.

Yeah I'm with you.

I think he should try to be as plain spoken as he can be. No attempts to bring too much gravitas, but also don't dude bro him for no reason either. I think it depends on the script too, as to what will feel right. If this is an Arthur that was not raised by an American father on the East Coast, then it can make sense that he doesn't sound like your buddy from down the street. Now, if that is what they are going with, the Arthur Curry Sr. raising him, then he can sound more contemporary I suppose.

Agree.

I actually want Arthur to be completely at home both above and below water, so him having a smooth and informal vernacular in English and some regal and formal speech in Atlantean fits best to me.

I'd especially like it if they made him a foil to Wonder Woman. She's an experienced veteran who's had her spirit beaten down by man's inhumanity to man, he's a young and reckless rookie inspired by the cooperation and compassion he sees between some Atlanteans and surface dwellers. The Amazons are a centralized culture blessed by the Olympians of which Diana has been exiled from while she tries to fit into the totally alien world of man, Atlantis is a wide spread multi-ocean kingdom that was nearly destroyed by Poseidon and yet Arthur is being called to help it from his comfortable surface home. Wonder Woman is sometimes enigmatic, and sometimes isolated, a woman out of her time and place, Arthur is a bluntly charismatic and passionate man who can hang out on a beach or in a thrown room and shoot the breeze with everyone.

I wonder if we'll get a new aquaman pic before bvs comes out. I hope we do get pics of him in the art of book, I specialy want to see the design process of his armor/pauldrons and pants.

If that's his costume next to the Flash one... Man. Can't wait to see the final product with all of this.

Looking forward to seeing Momoa in BvS. I don't care if it's for one second!

I just want to see the awesome looking Aquaman on screen.

I love the presence Momoa has. And I am glad that he may have the most realistic "blonde" (dirty blonde like surfers) for his skin.

With all the minerals, sun and water combination that is the most realistic scenario on his hair.

And the contrast of the beard (althought we don't know if he will dye it when filming begins) is nice. If this is the final look or this is still unfinished, I'm fine with this result if it's the final one. We will see.

Exactly it looks like it was sun bleached rather than from a bottle. Perfectly how I wanted tbh.

Not what I pictured for Aquaman, but I'm relatively fine with it, I guess. We'll see.

Well, I guess Superman is the only one in the DCEU who is allowed to have chest hair :sly:

After seeing his bit role last night in Batman vs Superman well that cameo of his last night I literally am salivating in the sense of I can't wait to see him in his own standalone origin film as Aquaman

I really, really hate Jason Momoas casting as Aquaman because...

Gawd damn, he would have made a fine Captain Marvel! Look at that boyish grin, those eyebrows et. all and tell me it doesn't look like an Alex Ross painting come to life...

and now that he's Aquaman, there'll never be a chance to see him as the big red cheese.
