Here he is on Jimmy Kimmel. He doesn't exactly deny it. And geez, he's huge.

Amusing. I was expecting Sea King to pop in here soon, but this one:

Anyway, something tells me he wouldn't reveal his casting on Kimmel. Fallon is MUCH more likely. :o

First bit of good casting for me. Maybe Synder and co can do justice to the character... They just need to fix the errors they did by Superman first!

Really?

Cavill doesn't look like Superman? Lane is not a great Ma Kent? Affleck in that suit? Eisenberg as a super villain? etc.

Clearly you don't understand the complexities of creating an anatomically correct water hand. :o

It's funny, I was a fan of the Bruce Timm Justice League cartoon and followed the production of it. I remember when they talked about using Aquaman in one of the early episodes they described him as an under water Conan. Flash forward a decade and now we have a former Conan actor playing Aquaman!

Here's the clip of Momoa on Kimmel's show.

It would be awesome if they announced all the JL members at Comic-Con.

Thanks for posting that. I couldn't view it on my iPad earlier so I did not know what others meant when they said he "neither confirmed or denied". Now I get it.

He certainly seemed to imply that he has the role when he said "That would be cool, wouldn't it? But we'll have to see." I guess we are all still waiting for 100% confirmation via a WB press release but I say Aquaman is him.

Can Lois not come up with the name Aquaman after looking at his crotch? Since, we were like robbed of that tradition of Lois naming Superman in MOS, by random soldier #4?

He is absolutely massive.

I'd like Aquaman to have the beard he's sporting. It'd be a cool look.

:hehe:
Say belt buckle
Imagine if this happens as you predict suggest

Okay, perhaps people are over sensative to the word change, so I will explain this again... For practicality sake, cuz that's a huge consideration when actually filming somthing (and if solo films or AM being important to a JL film are things you want) then there MUST be some changes when Aquaman is adapted for live action. Period. That's not anywhere near saying "Aquaman is broke/I don't believe in the character/I think Aquaman is uncool ect., ect."

Think about it like an adult that has actually been tasked with the job of adapting Aquaman and DC's Atlantis mythos for the big screen. There are decisions that need to be made from a logistical standpoint to keep or discard from the comics if you are actually filming this ****, ya'know? Such as, do the Atlanteans spend ALL the time under the waves actually in the water? That can sound stupid but think about it... In the comics Atlantis/Posidenis/Tritonis all are cities with a populace always under the water, even with domes to keep out the sea life and heavy currents. That would pose a huge problem to solve for filming anything in Atlantis for a live action production wouldn't it, hmmm? So, just as in the Timm show, you may change things up to something along the lines of the Atlantean cities being separated from the Ocean by the dome AND being "dry" inside. Perhaps they live inside the domes within a damp, humid, almost jungle like environment? They require this because of the old "need to not be out of contact with water schtick" in the comics that AM had. This brings us to Arthur himself. Perhaps that weakness should be changed for him? Perhaps he should be the only Atlantean that could permanently live on dry land? As a hybrid he truly could live in either world. This adds an element missing in the comics as now, story wise, he HAS to make a choice of which world he belongs to. In the comics, it's not as stark a choice. But if AM could up and settle in Colorado if he wanted to, now in the narrative he must decide if he really is the King of the Seven Seas or if he's better off on dry land.

Those are just two ideas that confront you if you are adapting this character. Unless you think it would be easy to film 60+ minutes of footage for an AM movie totally underwater using nothing but subtitles to get across the dialog between actors? See this is what I meant by practical changes to the mythos. It's not even in the same league as saying "I guess you think AM is lame and has to be made extreme to be cool, blah, blah, blah INSERT FANBOY RAGE HERE." You must consider that live action is not the comic book art form, or animation. Even Timm changed up the mythos on the JL show, simply because he needed the League to be able to talk and interact with the Atlanteans when in their city.

I thought it was Dr. Hamilton that interrupted Lois.

Watch as WB confirms him as Arthur Curry, MARINEBIOLOGIST! Then the debates will ensue.

Lois obviously did name him in the intterogation room scene. The name was on her mind. Sorry there wasn't a scene to spell that out en total for some. Ithink we as fans take stuff on screen WAY too literally, far too much.

The rule of thumb in cinema IS show not tell.

I'm almost starting to wonder if we weren't supposed to find out about Mamoa and maybe WB intended it to be a surprise in the film. That may be why Mamoa vehemently denies it and WB is remaining mum.
