C**ist alive, you asked me if someone in my 'close circle' had offended someone equally important to me, if I would 'shut them away' from my life. IF they had behaved in such away that Person A was making Person B a living misery with 'jokes' that left them feeling isolated, hell even suicidal, then yes, you know what, I'm thinking I may not want to be friends with Person A anymore. Does that make me 100% judgmental against ALL people or bigoted. I'd say I would to mediate between Person A and Person B to see if there was anything I could do to help, IF I am Person B in this situation, which I've been in the past, then yes, I did try resolve with Person A but people's thoughts and outlook on a given subject, if they are extreme, are often difficult to alter or change, so it then comes down to a question of whether you want to socialise with someone (Person A in this case) or detach yourself from the pain.

There's this phenomenon with online political militancy where folks want to change other people's opinions but they don't actually want people to change. It's the ****ing worst. Like some sort of social death penalty. **** that ****, honestly.

I think a lot of that is owed to projection. Most people are fully conscious of their own shortcomings; they just aren't willing to own up to it. So, they look for someone else to cast their guilt onto w/o being open to forgiveness/recompense.

Perhaps that's because their aren't ready to forgive themselves, and thus feel a need to continue lashing out at others.

Well, that's because of projection and also because if all the people they attack do happen to "change for the better", they won't have anybody to outrage about anymore. They look for things to be offended about because they just enjoy being offended. They get off on it and they keep doing it over and over again because it gives them some distorted sense of satisfaction to think they are better than some strangers they've never met. I know I'm horribly generalizing here, but in a nutshell that's basically what social media has become.

Don't ever think this type of individuals actually do want everyone to get along, accept each other's differences and sing Kumbaya all day long. They want the exact opposite since they either hate themselves so much or just won't have anything else to talk about.

He claimed to have a lot of info and knowledge about DC movies and Zack Snyder but didn't know the name of production company run by Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder.

I told him (when we were discussing early reviews of BvS) that it was called 'Cruel and Unusual Films' and showed him the logo.
