That color grading is so damn ugly, even with someone generously coloring it up in Photoshop that I almost can't enjoy what I am seeing.

Well that costume design was in the movie. The Atlantians guarding the motherbox wore that. But yes, duh, the Atlantis stuff was basically reduced to the barest of bare bones. No Vulko, no Atlan sitting on his throne, no multiple appearances by Mera, no extended fight between parademons and Atlantians that was confirmed by that IG post. None of it. WB must have thought the bloggers would s**t a chicken if they dared put material that laid the groundwork for future movies like the metahuman files in BVS, so it was all scrapped.

BACK ON JUSTICE LEAGUE WHEN I WAS WORKING IN THE COSTUME DEPARTMENT UNDER COSTUME DESIGNER MICHAEL WILKINSON..HE HAD ME REALIZE AND EXPLORE AQUAMAN FROM A SKETCH THAT HE DID HIMSELF WITH THE DESIGN RYTHIM PATTERNS HE WANTED ME TO WORKOUT IN 3D AROUND THE BODY...HE WOULD SIT NEXT TO ME AND GUIDE ME IN 3D TO REFINE THE DESIGN AS WE EXPLORED HIS MORE TRADITIONAL COMIC DESIGN AND A MORE ASYMETRICAL LOOK AS WELL...IT WAS ABLAST WORKING ON THIS PROJECT WITH MY GOOD FRIENDS JERAD S MARANTZ AND IAN JOYNER.....AFTER I DID SOME INITIAL CONCEPTS OF AQUAMAN IT WAS THEN PASSED TO IAN TO REFINE AND TAKE FURTHER IN 3D FOR THE FINAL IN JUSTICE LEAGUE.....SEEING THE RECENT AQUAMAN FILM IT WAS GREAT TO C THE AMAZING NEW COSTUMES BROUGHT TO LIFE BY KYM BARRETT AND HER TALENTED TEAM.

Definitely prefer that suit. Though I'm not sure how it would take outside of Zack's usual visual aesthetic in tones.
