Superman Returns Jason...

it is Jason White in the credits

What they said.

And I am pretty sure there are at least 5 threads in which this question could've been posted.

Blow me. Thanks to those who answered.

Because Richard was believed to be and accepted as the father of Jason.

Doesn't that say Lois hooked up with Richard, almost as soon as Superman left?

All I know is Jason was born sometime after she met Richard (according to prequel comic #4)

In the movie, Jason calls Richard daddy and they all live together...Richard is the man/fatherly figure of the house.

'Jason White' makes sense.

You are ignoring my question though... Supes has been gone for 5 years. Jason is 4 + 9 months in womb. Therefore Lois + Richard hooked up ~3months after Superman left...

Probably.

Obviously its not exactly 5 years straight. It was likely 5 years and some months.

In all the earlier press, Singer always said 5-6 years... but I think they went with 5 in the later promotions as its an easier number.

HOWEVER, the date of the article that says "Superman Lives"/ "Superman is Dead"......... is 2006.

Then a picture leaked months ago showing another article about Superman's disapearance and was dated 2000.

So its over 5 years.

Do you think they named Jason, Jason White, to fool the ppl who may have gotten their hands on the credits early?

I doubt it. Theres really nothing else they could have named him. Lois and Richard and pretty much married, just not officially by law.

Check it out, the official date for Superman Returns! It happened in the future!

Lots of time has passed!!

I just thought of this.....

September 28th, 2006...

if he was gone 5 years...

that would be September 28th, 2001...

do you think Singer & Co. did that on purpose, to say Superman wasn't here for 9/11?

Superman left in March of 2000 or likely even earlier, around January or Feb

Yes...and Jason is only 5 years..
I wonder if we can get confirmation on Jason's age...

Anyone remember Jason's age being mentioned in the movie?

I dont recall in the film.

But I think if Lois was pregnant about 9 months or so after Superman left...

Jason would be 5 years old...and a few months....which ties up with all the SR press stuff of the kid being 5.

The bigger question is.....Why the heck is the paper only 35 cents!?

Did the economic depression of BB's Gotham rub off on Metropolis?
