The Walking Dead Jeffrey Dean Morgan is Negan!

Whoever is in charge of bleeping out the F-words on AMC is going to be really busy soon.

Awesome choice!

Oh HELL YES. I haven't read the comics but I know a good bit about this character and it seems like JDM is perfect casting. He was one vicious SOB in Watchmen.

Also, hope they cast Timothy Olyphant as another character somewhere down the road. Love that guy too.

It seems like AMC has relaxed on the swearing restrictions this season :cwink:

I agree with Chris Hardwick that it seems odd some people are offended by the swearing in the show but not by all the graphic violence.

Brilliant casting.

I can't wait. I doubt he'll be able to have the extreme foul mouth he has in the comic. Nearly everything he says has a swear word in the sentence lol.

I hope they just go the Breaking Bad/Mr. Robot route and actually have characters use the F word and bleep it out. It works fine. It annoyed me to know end in that season finale where Rick said, "They're screwing with the wrong people." Andrew Lincoln, try as he might, can't make that lame line sound badass. Hell, Clint f***ing Eastwood couldn't make that line sound hardcore.

Is that how they did it in Breaking Bad?? I watched the show on Netflix and they dropped a bunch of F-bombs and I wondered if they were bleeped out on AMC or substituted the words.

I wonder if Rick actually says they're "F-ing with the wrong people" on Netflix and not "screwing" Because they did a take with him saying the actual comic line.

Yeah, they just bleeped it out... not with an audible "bleep" sound though... they just cut the audio out in the middle of the word so all you hear is "f--k."

Anyway, the title of this thread should be changed to simply "Jeffrey Dean Negan."

Oh ok, they didn't actually have the *bleep* sound like Osborne show did. lol.

Yeah that's how they should do with Negan then.

:woo:

Do we have any leads on the Lucille casting? :sly:

I've heard that Eli Roth's bat in Inglourious Basterds is the frontrunner.

Oh my god. I love JDM!

Such an awesome choice. And I never even thought of it!

When I saw the cast at Paleyfest last year, Scott Gimple explained he was the one the who opted to air the "screwing" line instead and replace it on the DVD versions because it was the final line of the season and he didn't want the final line of the season to air bleeped. Andrew Lincoln didn't want to say "screwing" at all, so they only have one obligatory take of it.

They do bleep out the f-words on TWD - Daryl said one last year that's unbleeped on blu-ray.

JDM is cool. Good choice.

I read on the COllider report that Matt Dillon was up for the role. Wouldve liked that better but JDM is still awesome to me

Not super creative, but not a bad choice. I think he'll do well.

After seeing Garrett Dillahunt in No Country for Old Men playing a naive Barney Fife-type, I'd have had trouble believing him as an imposing, sadistic badass. JDM is much more believable.

Excellent, perfect choice. Excited to see how Negan translates on screen off the pages.

Oh wow I love this!

Then you can not have seen Deadwood.

Nope, I haven't. I'm not saying he can't play a different type, I'm only going on what I've seen.

Laaaaaaaaaaawd. :atp:
